HELP! Leggy seedling

Question: Can I plant an elongated, leggy, seedling stem deeper in the soil and just leave a 10 cm trunk above ground with 15cm underground.? Will it root the same way that tomatoes like to be planted. You lollipop the leaves and plant it leaving only the very top of the tomato plant above ground. New roots develop on the old stem, which is now underground.
Would Clonex help ?.

You could replant it, but being "leggy" it might be a bit fragile. If there is room on the inside of the cup/ pot/ whatever its growing in then you can just fill around it as far up as you want to go_ just make sure you stop short of the first leaves. Water about a half inch from the stem. it won't take long and roots will come out of the stem into the soil around them and soon you won't recognize your baby. They grow up so fast! I've had 4-5 week old plants over a foot tall start sprouting roots out of the stems above the grow medium. Maybe I used too much root enhancing nutrients....haha_ I just think this happens sometimes_ the plants were very healthy with extensive root development....so not sure why that happened. Like berrypilot pointed out_ If you can get more light to your pant that should help keep it where it should be, thicken the stem and fill it out better with foliage. Then you'll be good. Cheers!

btw, The reason it got out of control is because it was the very first automatic I ever started. This fem auto Blueberry from Sensible shot out of the ground overnight like a rocket. By the time the sun came up she was 10 cm out of the soil and the seed case was just beginning to split.

🌱 Sounds like you got some really great genetics! It's funny you say that, now that I think of it I feel like the auto-flowering seeds I grew last year germinated and started faster than standard photoperiod seedlings, too. I guess the autos are running a race right from the beginning! 🌱
