COCO COIR Is it a deficiency or overwatering?

Hi my plants grow really slow and i think it is overwatering but im not sure or is it a deficiency? Maybe some one can help me. I grow in coco

I don't see a deficiency, but your plant could use a bigger pot.
make sure your pot drys out a little in between waterings

Hmm ok i could transplant in bigger oots but i think they have some problems. I use advanced nutrients coco grow for this plant and she has this curved/waved leafs, one other plant i use canna cooc fertilizer and this plant dont have any problems.. The plant with advanced nutrients showed first some red stems and the leafs started to wave. I ph'ed the nutrient solution to 5.8 with both fertilizers but only the plants with advanced nutrients showed this problen. I gave this plant a ph at 5.5 now and maybe it will change something. Could it be a root problem? The plant grows really slowly and i use 2L pots and the plant with canna coco looks way healthier than this one 🤔

Why are you watering at 5.5 PH?

With out knowing all the info about your grow and specifics about how much and how often you water I can't say weather it's over-watering or not but it sure looks like it and that can be Remedy by letting the pots tryout untill they are light when lifted.
Root problems can also come from needing to be transplanted and overwatering, how old are your plants?
Any deficiency you think you have is most likely caused by a PH problem.

I gave the plants always 5.8-6.2 and i feed onextime at 5.5.. I think 5.5-6.2ph is the range in coco? I watered every 2-3 days but this plant with the Advanced nutrients fertilizer dont dry out as fast as the plant feeded with canna coco 🤔 and all the plants feed with advanced nutrients got this curved leafs.. The plants with canna coco doesnt have this problems so i think its a problem with nutrient uptake.. Thats why i gave this plants a lower ph to see if it was a ph problem.. The plants are 14days old now

I think they needed more water. I used about 40%perlite and the coco didnt hold the water so i took the plants out of their pots and they had enough roots so i did a transplant, the pots looked way too dry.. Next time i use not so much perlite.. The coco was completely dry inside and i think its because of too much perlite

I would suggest to punch extra holes for drainage and air circulation in your pot then. It's most likely you're not going to water both plants at the same time if one dries faster than the other. PH range for Coco is between 5 5 and 6.5, with the ideal Target being between 5.8 and 6.3 but if your roots zone ph is off no matter what nutrients are given it it will not uptake it
I would suggest catching a little run off and check in the pH, if it is not around 6 I would flush your plant next time it dries out.

Ok i used clay pebbles at the bottom and after i took the plants out of the pots the coco inside looked really dry hmm but the leafs look more like overwatered if i look at the grow problems at growweedeasy.. Dont know what the problem is.. I wrote advanced nutrients and hope they know what it is. Could it be that my water temperature is too low? 18°C/64F and most growers use 20-22°C/68-71F for more oxygen for the plants... Maybe they look overwatered because of low oxygen in the water but the pots were dry..

If the coco dried out I’d say that’s your issue. You want to keep the coco moist at all times. In coco you want to water slowly so the water doesn’t take a fast track to the bottom and leave pockets of dry coco. If your total is a quart, you’d give 1 cup at a time trying to saturate all the coco, give them a day and repeat. When I grew in coco I never went more than 24 hours between waterings.

Hey yea i always water to 20-30% runoff. I transplanted yesterday and the leafs dont look that droopy now. Maybe the plants growth was so slow because the coco was too dry. I potted from 2L into 7L 75%coco/25%perlite mix and i will water tomorrow again and water now daily. I will upload or post again what happens the next days

Im pretty sure now it was a watering problem.. Before i transplanted the leaves feels dry if i touched them. In the 7l pots they feel better now and i think it was the dry coco what caused the problems. I will water daily now. Next grow should i start in bigger pots at the beginning? First i used 0.25L transplant in 2L and now in 7L pots and maybe i used too much perlite and the clay pebbles at the bottom drained the water really fast out of the pots so the pots didnt have a chance to absorb the water and i hand watered really slowly

If you’re growing photoperiod plants, I’d treat them the same as soil. I used to go solo cup/.5 gallon/5 gallon. Any transplant shock at all with autos is a risk, I’ve seen plenty of people here that can transplant autos without any issues but I’ve seen just as many that experience a slow down after transplant.

While over watering is almost impossible in coco, what you will find is that the moist conditions of coco can invite unwanted pests if left unchecked. It’s best to get some risers to lift your plants if you don’t already have them.
