Intro/Questions before I get started

Hello everyone and thanks for doing what you do. I joined the site back in November shortly after the election. I live in MA. and as of December it is legal to have 12 plants in my house between my wife and I. We have both been enjoying the medical and recreational benefits for years and we are looking for 2 ounces of THC flower as well as 1 ounce of CBD flower per month. Now on to the specifics of the space....

2-3x3x6 grow tents(1 Veg/1 Flower)
3-300w equivalent galaxy hydro led lights(1 for veg/2 for Flower)
5 gallon fabric pots set in seedling trays with drainage grates so they don't sit in a puddle
70 Coco/30 Perlite mix
GH Flora Trio(GWE Feed Schedule for Coco)
Tap water PH is 7( GH /PH down to 6)
Blue Lab PH Pen for dialing in PH
2-8"circulation fans per tent
2-4"exhaust fans with Carbon filters( to be installed next week)
1 cloning dome with t-5 light and Heat mat

I have ordered my seeds through True North and should be receiving them within 10 days, I will also be receiving 6 clones.

5-60 Day Wonder Auto Flower seeds(DNA Genetics)
1-AK Auto(Canuk Seeds)
1 Cheese Auto(Canuk Seeds)

3 Clones of Girl Scout Cookie
3 Clones of Cannatonic (High CBD)

My plan is to keep the Girl Scout Cookie and Cannatonic in a perpetual grow while experimenting with new strains via the Auto's. I'm interested to hear every ones thoughts on my setup.

Happy Growing

I just realized I never asked the questions I meant to ask.
i plan to use the 5 gallon fabric pots for the Auto's, but I was going to fold the tops down to give me 3 gallon pots...do you think 3 gallon is enough for an auto? I expect them to go 70-85 days before harvest.
I'm also planning to go from solo cup to 5 gallon pot for the photo plants...Is this a sound plan or should I plan for a container to bridge the gap??

Hi Obi-Wan welcome. That looks like a pretty sweet set-up for your first legal grow : )

I use 3 gal smart pots with coco and I'm pretty happy with them. I'm going to try 5 gal pots at some point though.

Where do you plan to grow out your autos? In the veg tent with the clones on an 18/6 light schedule?
If so, you may find you'll want another 300W so you can blast those autos as they move into flowering.

Thanks BTB...I plan on starting the auto's in the flower tent on 24/0 lighting and giving the clones an extended veg time. I've been thinking about another light for the veg tent but I want to see how these lights produce before buying another. If I don't get the yields I'm looking for I will cut my losses and upgrade the flower tent lighting, allowing me to put 2 in the veg tent and have a backup in case 1 goes down.

Are you sure that you want to transplant autos?
Many, including myself prefer not to because any 'shock' or 'recovery time' that the plant suffers will reduce the end results.
Others, say they can transplant without shock, and they don't want to support and flush 3 or 5 gallons of coco while the plant is small.
I think that 3 gallons is enough for an auto, but I personally use 5 gallons and my autos filled every bit of my 5 gallon fabric pots in a peat based medium.

Thanks Flockshot, I don't want to have to transplant the auto's.....I've seen some use 3 gal and some use 5 gal so I'm just curious what every ones experience has been.

Hi Obi-Wan, it's so nice to hear about people setting up legally!!!! (Not in my state) Your set up looks great.
