I have to harvest early...what do I do?

For several reasons - doesn't matter for this post - I have to harvest my outside plant too early. What can I do with buds that weren't able to 'ripen' correctly? My plant has been in flower 11 weeks but trichomes are all clear. What good will this bud be? How will it best be used? Edible, bubble hash...smoke? What can I expect?
 
Wish I could give you a more definitive answer Dagmar, but just wanted to share that some of my summertime girls had to be chopped early due to developing bud rot, and I made extracts (in oil) with them. As far as I could tell, they still had good potency, enough for my needs. Hope something good comes from yours! 🐸
 
Yes a few pics would be good but in the meantime:
ive been there too. If you have trichomes you have product in some form. I trim and dry normally. Cure normally ( including sugar leaves separate from bud). At the least you can do dry ice hash. Or if is all undeveloped bud pluck the fans, dry your sticks (no trimming) ....make butter, Kief , extracts.

I still bet it will get you plenty high Dagmar, maybe not like you want but it will still do the job.

If u have a gd amount of trics just cure longer and ur gd to go. If u have very little trics make edibles or oil. If u want really nice sweet oil make vape juice oil, decarb then add vape juice stir everyday for 30days then add the same amount of juice again and stir everyday for 30days strain and done or u can always make bho oil.
 
Yeah Dagmar, like everyone else has said, if you're seeing lots of stand-up clear trichomes, that's a good thing. Would love to see pics of the triches, but heck: do what you gotta do, if she has to come down, then bring her down. You're going to have some potent stuff there.
 
hey Dag I had to cut a bunch of plants early due to bud rot ,it will be more of a head high than a body high, it still will get you high my suggestion is cure it ,try it, then decide what you want to do, but all is far from being a loss
 
Thanks, rockman. I had actually beaten bud rot with this girl by cutting away 20-25% of the plant about a month ago but then several other issues came up. Extracts in oil? RSO or more like butter and olive oil?
 
Interesting! I have a lot of trichs on this girls - she would have been ready in 2-3 weeks. Never heard of vape juice oil but I fairly new to vaping - I like that idea. Thanks, Tyler.
 
Wow! Great feedback. I thought I had a bigger loss than I do. You guys are awesome! This one plant may still give me more than a pound. She is very frosty with heavy trichomes but they are all clear. I harvested last night - here's the pictures. I wish I could have taken some close up of the trichomes but under a jewelers loop they're very impressive.

Even if they didn't get to ripen like you wanted, I'll guarantee you that they will get the job done, I've smoked plenty that didn't make all the way ripe, as most everyone has, didn't blow my head off like a speeding bullet by no means.
 
WOW, Dagmar, they look so awesome!!! I am really hoping that you get some good smoke out of that haul!!!! You can still take pics of the triches; I have taken pics of triches at various stages of the cure.

And just to add an Ed Rosenthal statement: He says that when they are clear but all puffed up is when they are at the peak THC potency; even the milkiness is a sign of the very beginning of the waning of peak potency.
 
That's good news on the tric thing.
I just harvested when they were clowdy with no amber. I needed more of a head high but nice to know about the thc potency thanks tat
