Humidty too high for drying

I did jar some of my buds this morning (the smallest ones from first day of harvest) but it's been 7 days for some and 5 days for others. Not nearly as ready as I think they should be. The humidity in tent has been hovering right around 60. Should I put the dehumidifier back in tent and set it at like 55?

A thorough inspection showed no signs of mold. (I hope I know what I'm looking for.)
 
I'll be interested in the responses you get because that's where my hunidity is too. I have read as high as 65% is okay but others say it should be lower. Go air flow, but not directly on buds, is a must.

I only kept one of the two tent fans turned, maybe I'll go turn the other one on, not facing directly at buds. We are drying in tent and keeping tent zippered up to help contain the smell.
 
I may be rushing things, we just want to really get everything in jars to cure and finally be done with it. Not because I didn't love the entire process.......most of you know why.

I keep trying to attach a picture to my post, having a problem for some reason. I did put a Boveda 62 two way packet in each jar. One more try for the picture.

I just went back and checked GWE recommendations for drying. 70 degrees, 50% humidity. My temp is too low and humidity too high. Just made the decision to put the dehumidifier back in tent. Even if just for one day. Will help provide a little bit of needed heat. My temp in tent this morning was 62.
 
Good point Tika. cut them all the way to the bud. Also, unless they are of different strain. Fill the jar almost full.
 
ALSO.... dont squeeze the buds. They are moist inside. From my gathered knowledge, just so that they feel dry on the outside- the inside will be moister- and hence the curing that takes a month in the jar.
 
It is a balancing act between a nice, slow drying period and threat of mold. 🤐 Last grow I didn't dry enough before jarring and buds clumped together. Took out of jars and air dried another day, then jarred again with boveda packs. Buds have keep perfectly for 6 months. I know your need but after this much time and effort...
 
gosh properly done, you need a hydro for each jar. I know there is a cost, but each bud for what its worth has a different moisture level. The cola stems are hardier and thicker- carrying more water- so apples to apples. it cant be all the same - but a close enough range I bet to not have to buy stock on hydrometer company haha!
 
Ok here is where I stand. Before jarring what I did this morning, I did remove the stem material Only a few very small pieces of stem still attached here and there. I decided to put the dehumidifier back in tent. I have it set at 55. Our digital read out on temp and humidity gives a track of the high and low over a 24 hour period. Sometime in the last 24 hours the temp got down to 59 and the humidty got up to 65. Plus I have twosmall clip on fans running, one at either end of the tent. Now that I have removed some of the buds from drying box, one of those cardboard wardrobe boxes purchased at UHaul (I'll post another picture, box not as full now) I have spread the remaining buds out better. I will peek in tent tonight to make sure readings have stabilized. And I will go back out and take out the boveda packs from jars. I will open and close jars per GWE recommendations.

I THINK I have the situation under control. Just first time jitters and self doubt.
