my auto blueberry has a few amber trichomes. how do i get it to get more. started off with 18/6 lighting, then tried 12/12, then 10/14, finally 9 1/2 / 14 1/2. no real significant increase. any ideas?
i need the amber for my spouse. more cbd the better. auto do have and internal clock. it was suggested by changing the light cycle to a longer dark period, would increase trichome production.
Good advise above_ with an auto you shouldn't need to cut back the hours to 12/12, the genetics make them flower within their programed time frame. Lowering the hours might have kept the plant from maturing as quickly as it might have if you left the lights at 20 on 4 off. You can go with 24 hours on but if your lights are strong and height in the space is limited then sometimes they need a little break from all that light so some dark is good for them, IMO. It gives them some time to rest and recoup after a day in the sun. But I've never cut back the hours on an auto so don't know if you should go back to more hours of light or not. I've heard that you can force an auto into flower by cutting back the photoperiod to 12/12 but what will happen if you start increasing light at this point....can't help with that one.....the safe thing would be to stick with where you're at now and just wait it out. the trichomes will turn amber as the plant matures.
You are way off with your light times...you have slowed her down big time...your harvest won't be what it could of been...I would be pissed at whoever told you that way misguided information...autos...24hrs light start to finish.......unbelievable...I'd be so pissed off
