How can you tell actual wattage?

It looks like the link is broken but it should say something like 1000w (600 actual). Scammers purposely leave it out tho so be careful. Those arent actual numbers but just an example. Be weary of anything that says similar to "same as 1000w hps" as that means the actual wattage is lower usually.

could be.... 6 bars of 60W each, to give 360W equivalent of light.
 
Unfortunately with the multitude of different types of led diodes there is no formula that i know of. I've never used them so i may not be the best source of info but i have done some research as i have been thinking of getting something to replace my 250w hps. Only way I know of to know is to look carefully and if something seems too cheap it probably is.

Haha thats the same light i referenced. I saw that and was like 1000w light for $69.99? Yeah right. Sure enough....It seems almost like they shouldn't be allowed to say that.
 
Yes sir. But not alone. I have 4 of the set flowering plants along with (3) T5s & the other 2 are over my seedlings. It raised the Mango under a shoplight & 3 of the set, bought T5s when I could.

Some of the off brand LED lights can really suprise people and it sounds like you have a good amount of light, what size tent are you set up in?
 
I'm in a 4x6 tent flowering but have it all squished over into about 4x4. (3) T5s w/ 54w tubes, 2 LED shoplights & 4 of those little bars.

Also- I DO hope that you recognize that I'm not arguing against your knowledge nor is there ANY disrespect here. I'm just trying to figure out a subject that doesn't seem to have a definitive answer. LED lighting. My very LIMITED experience is telling me that they might be stronger than most ppl think.
 
What a lot of people get confused about is the equivalent monkey wrench manufacturer state. Most people see a cheap way to by past a proven track record. Though Cannabis can be grown under a variety of conditions and actual wattage in the end it is the deciding factor for weight and denseness.

My question are to get a picture of what you are working with, here were we are at..
Ideally in a 4×4 foot box you would what 800 actual watts, in a 4×6 foot box you would do best with 1200 actual watts. This is idea numbers and not a definite must have numbers.

With the mix of LED's and T5 you have two different Optimum penetration layers on your canopy, the LED light will need to be high off the plant like 12 to 18 inchs and the t5 will need to be around 2 to 6 inchs for Optimum performance. This is something to consider.

What people forget is a watt is a watt and equivalent has no real factor under led, manufacturer can just say it that powerful and there is no basic mathematical conversion on most of the light adversed. Weather you use this set of lights or another you should try shoot to get your 4×4 area up to 25 actual watts a sqft or above, what i see is that each tude is a 60watt light× 6 tudes = 360 watts. Hopeful This is a good starting point for your questions

There's the rub. No mathematical formula. Frustrating. & I'll bet that the 360W total is an 'equivalent to'.
 
Not Necessarily, what I read that is important is 1watt per chip × 360 chips=360 watts. What doesn't add up on them is 90watts a tube. If you feel that you need to find out for sure there is a device called a Kill A Watt which measures wattage used of a device.

Oh & just checking in case of a typo..... You said to drop the T5s down to 2-6 inches above the plants & the LEDs 12-18" right? 2 inches wont burn them?
 
If you manufacturer recommended 18in on your LED leave them there but you can drop your t5 to 6 inchs, you can even just bring them down a little bit everyday time you hit 6 inchs thus will ensure you don't burn them.
