We're first time growers, 10 days into the flowering stage with feminized seeds, growing 2 plants, and so far have been successful in our grow with minimal problems. We just started noticing a difference between the two and began to wonder if maybe one of the plants might be male or even a hermaphrodite. This particular plant has been faster in growth than the other, but we just want to make sure.

What seed bank? Some make errors when you order just a couple of seeds. Accidently sent you regular seeds instead of feminized. Or you get a photo plant instead of an auto. Many banks will fix the issue the next time you order but probably wont cover shipping to resend 1 seed. So depends on which company you got it from.

When buying seeds , even fem seeds there is no guarantee that you will get a female . Also some fem seed are made by forcing a female to herm and pollinate other females with it . Unless you use the seeds from the herm plant itself there shouldn’t be an issue : but using A sexually produced seeds ( seeds from the herm plant ) will produce a herm . I wouldn’t discredit a seed bank based solely on one bad seed. It that was the case all seed banks would be discredited.
