Hermi too soon or normal growth?

Hello fellow GWE warriors,

Looking at my single plant I have growing, I saw what look to be 'nanners' growing from the very top of two of my main colas.

Here are the particulars:
  • Strain: BlueBerry Headband (50/50 indica/sativa hybrid, photo-period feminized seed from Emerald Triangle Seeds)
  • Soil: 4 gallons Fox Farm Happy Frog amended with 1 gallon of perlite and 3 tablespoons dolomite lime.
  • Light: G8LED 240-watt full-spectrum LED, supplemented by 90-watt UFO lamp for flowering
  • Nutrients: Fox Farm soil trio (Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom), also using CalMag supplement.
  • Temps / Humidity: Temps have remained a constant 70-72 degrees during the day and mid-60's at night. My humidity has fluctuated between 18% and 30% throughout the entire grow.
  • Seed germinated in soil on 12/06/16, flipped to flowering mode on 03/20/17
The seed germinated on Dec 6th and I vegged her until March 19th when I flipped the lights to flowering mode. During her vegetative growth, she has been carefully "manifolded" to eight mains or tops. She has been flowering now for 41 days. Although this strain is supposed to be a 50/50 hybrid, I think this particular one is leaning more towards the sativa side as flowering has been considerably slower than previous grows.

My concern: Could this plant be a "hermi" at only 40 days into flowering or are those new leaves coming out? I always thought that a hermi wold exhibit nanners near the bottom of a plant, not at the very top of a cola. But of course, I don't have the experience that other growers here have. And that's why I'm asking for help.

Could someone tell me what I have going on here?

Doing a little more research, I'm pretty confident she hermied on me. About eight days ago, I did a fairly moderate defoliation at day 34 of flowering that probably stressed her out.

The flowering process might seem slower cuz the plant is gana focus on making seeds cuz nanners constantly let out pollen but u can still get a good harvest gana be seedie and take a couple extra weeks tho
 
I developed a techniqe for fighting nanners, you could try if you feel like it. First of all, water deactivates pollen. Dip sissors in water, cut out the nanner. Then you spray water where the nanner was located. Last and very important, evaporate the water with a fan. I use a solar powered hand held fan. Cut and spray the whole plant before you start drying with the fan so you don't blow pollen all over the place. Put he plant aside when drying it and make sure u get all the moisture to prevent mold. I think this method have reduced the problem in my case. Btw you should know it's time consuming
 
Thanks everyone for the helpful advice.

After closer look at the plant, four of the eight colas have nanners in them. I decided to cut my losses and chop her down.

Just gotta clean the grow cabinet real good and I'm ready to start again.
