Use both hands and gently bend it in half where them crispy leaves are. Brown or grey is bad - you want to see green. If it's brown - find out how far down the cola it goes and dismember it. It will only spread.

Could a fan being to close to it be causing this the whole plant is ok only the cola facing the fan is like this the other side of this is green?

Wow I feel bad for those babies. Sorry you’re having such troubles. I did message you in reply to the many issues youhave right now but sadly you don’t relply to folks you message , I think your temps and humidity are and have been too high for a while. I thin you said that you have no control over them. It’s def a good idea to set up your tent with ventilation and humidity controls frost so you can test them out before starting up the grow. I hope that you save them. Good Luck.

@naked gardener sorry havent been replying been a nighmare to be honest quite late in the process dont want them to die at the moment the problem seems to have stopped im just going to keep a close watch if i see it drying anymore will start getting rid of affected areas

No prob mate, trust me I feel for ya and wish you all the best, certainly I am sure you’ll save some, and do even better next time round.

Highly advise to remove it right away. Dead plant material attracts pests and mold. Last thing you need now is another issue with that.

Ok when you say remove it shall i just cut the stem just below the dry bud? Is there anything else i have to do to the stem or just cut ?

Wow looking at the whole plant I really doubt you can save much if anything. But good luck. Wish you the best.

Personally, from the picture I saw... I would remove as much of the brown bud as possible. Trying to save as much stem as possible. If the stem is brown too, cut the stem so that only green is remaining after the surgery. You can clean the wounds with a bit of hydrogen peroxide. But be careful not to get it all over the healthy buds.
