help with PH

hi everyone,, I need advice about PH. Why is it going up? I get it perfect ( 5.7 in DWC ) and when i wake up its back up to 7,8.. and im using Advanced Nutrients with PH perfect technology..
any ideas ????

Where are you in the grow, ie how big is your plant/ plants?
What is your nutrient strength, EC/ppm?
What is the total volume of water your system holds?

Large plants in small volume systems will be more susceptible to pH fluctuations. Lower EC/ppm’s will also see pH swings as there are fewer dissolved solids to buffer the pH.

AN’s pH perfect “technology” is a combination of added dissolved solids and other buffers that stabilize pH. Like other nutrient lines it hinges on the grower using the proper ratios from each bottle, which of course isn’t exactly what they recommend in their marketing material.

just starting my first grow , seeds just popped up
nutrient is at 500 ppm
water volume is 40 Liters
2 plants only, not even seeing roots yet.
top feeding a few hr a day as not to make too wet,

Are you using hydroton pebbles? If so we’re they throughly rinsed? I like to rinse mine and then soak them in pH 5.8 water before I use them. They act funky straight from the bag. As was mentioned above if it’s a new system the plastic can cause issues in the beginning. 500 ppm is a bit high for seedlings, I generally start mine at 200-250 ppm.

New plastic has a tendency to ph flux. It’s totally normal and should stabilize after some given time.
23 is a bit warm. I would try to keep it no higher than 20 if possible.
