has anyone used nettle for insects

Anyone has experience with Nettle solution for spraying aphids and similar.
Friend of mine told me to pick some nettle and let it disolve in water for few days and then spray the plants with it. I heard it stinks like hell and insects dont like it
Anyone knows is this true or does it harm plant in anyways

Aphids love nettles and will shelter in them. By planting nettles you can create an aphid trap and provide a food source for lady beetles and other wildlife species which prey on aphids. The nettles can also act as a sacrificial plant by luring the aphids away from your vegetable garden as well.Apr 11, 2013[/qoute]
Nettle plants are a primary food source for caterpillars/butterflies and bees which are great pollinators in the garden. Ladybugs use nettle plants as a prime destination to lay their eggs and their larvae eat aphids, white fly and spider mites in the garden.

When using nettles as fertilizer, remember that some plants, like tomatoes and roses, do not enjoy the high iron levels in nettle fertilizer. This fertilizer works best on leafy plants and heavy feeders.

I wouldn't use it on aphids, maybe on something away from the MJ plants.

right, but stinging nettle . not normal one, and not the plants but leaves from nettle should be in water for a week and it gets stale and it stinks, and then spray with it. Im not even sure anymore
 
If you have bug problems make sure you use something that won't screw you up when you consume the bud. Neem oil or other types of organic oils appear to work well. I personally have only had spider mites and Diatomaceous earth (food grade) works great on them.
 
Stinging nettle is a great fertilizer. You are talking about letting it ferment. Yes you can do that but you have to dilute it a bit I believe? I would say try it it won’t hurt rather it will provide nutrients. It grows in my backyard and certain crops get full of aphids but I have yet to see them on the stinging nettle.

When I comes to aphids you can't beat Minute Pirate bugs from Arbico ( I have zero affiliation with them. Just a happy customer).
Lady bugs work well too Pirates are faster acting. Stay away from neem oil if your girls are in flower. Neem oil sprayed during flower sent our friend Farmbuck on a downward spiral. Nothing I'm willing to try. I'm a big advocate of using 100% natural means of eradication. Good luck to you growfriend. I'm gonna be ordering a metric ass ton for my greenhouse. The love all tbr garden flowers I have in there.
 
Cunjo420 A severe allergy with Neem, I smoked some of my buds sprayed with Neem oil and I almost end up to the hospital. I had bugs on my buds in my grow room and I did a foolish thing spraying it on my colas.
