has anyone tried mainline with nirvana northern lights?

Hi, I have 5 feminized northern lights seeds on the way from nirvana, I'll be using those for my next grow. Since i'm adding a veg room I'll be able to spear the extra veg time required to mainline if I choose to do that. I'm basically hesitating between letting them grow "normally", perhaps topping them once, or mainlining them.

my veg room will be a 2x3 tent with a single vero 29 cob, not sure how many lumens that will put out

my flower room is a 2x4 (5 feet high) tent with 600w hps

Also if anyone has grown this strain before if you can recommend nb of plants to go for with a setup like mine that would be appreciated

thanks

I haven't grown that strain but I love nebulas mainline on everything I've grown (photos) But if you just let pot grow wild it will be in a tent wild crazy. You LST (low stress training) to get more bud then letting it (the plant )decide what your harvest will be.

I fimmed a blue mystic, it's half NL. It resisted. I was unable to break the plants apical dominance. Since after the fimm the plants nodes were offset I did not cut it again. I'm going to try again this spring.

I have 2 of these (exact strain - Nirvana NL fem.) in their last week of flowering right now. They are mainlined the Nebula way for 8 mains each, and were topped very early each time with the goal of keeping them very short since the tent is short (2x2x4). Total time in veg was 6 weeks under blue lights. They are indeed very short, about 2' total from the media surface, but very healthy and the main colas are fairly dense. The shortness is going to limit yield, though - I overdid it a bit. I'm guessing a 6 oz yield and I was shooting for 8.

If I had it to do over I'd let them veg another couple weeks, or let them grow a bit more before toppings to get bigger plants; the early topping stunts them a little too much.

I also Nebula-mainline all my grows now so I recommend it. It definitely make it easier to manage a grow in a small space.

Grown in coco/perlite under 400W equiv. LED.
