Has Anyone Seen This? Thoughts?

Interesting concept. I haven't read the entire article yet, will finish in a bit. Certain types of trees certainly are bullies and will crowd out other types, that's a know fact. I'll get back to you after I finish reading.

It's kinda long but very moving. At least to me it is but I'm a tree lover. Always have been.
Maybe all of it isn't true but I think most of it is. You can never really think of the forest the same after reading that.

I've heard of the fungal networks before, very cool. While a lot more research is needed, it wouldn't surprise me at all that trees can communicate with each other. They do seem to have a presence about them. Like they're watching you, not staring, just observing in slow motion....

Need to read it in full but the short and quick: plants talk to each other and are aware of us..passing by, coming, leaving, listening. I did a Botany speak in college on it as minor as it was ( did get an A tho) will read fully . All living things...listen. If there is a bear in your face you are totally wrong LOL

I think it's super cool too. Reminds me of the Avatar movie with the Tree of Souls. I've always been fascinated with trees, especially really old ones. I kinda think of them as wise old men.

I think of all the things an old tree has seen. All of the people it has met, deer, raccoons, squirrels, etc. They are the observers, nature's sentinels.

Nugs, wanted to show you this...
Trees see a lot alright. These saw me chased by a herd of wild hogs the other night and if they really do see us? Well I'm sure they enjoyed it Lol
The one i scaled up is now one of my favorites! Saved my behind it did.

They're everywhere down here. That's right behind my house where we feed the deer. I put corn out there in the evenings for the deer but got home late and it was dark already. I walked right up on them. Not the 1st time I been treed/chased by a hog but it's usually only one or two. Better a herd of hogs than a bear tho...trees are no good for escaping a bear. He'll come right up after you.
