Harvest Time

When growing indoors, a strain that has a 8 week harvest time seems to reach harvesting time a lot sooner by a one to two weeks can somebody tell me is that possible?

Know it is true when growing under my LEDs. I have been advised to take the recommended time by breeders/dealers as guidelines. That has been reinforced by several forum Masters as well as GWE to watch your trichomes not just the top flowers bud also middle buds disregarding sugarleaves.(thank Green75 & Royal Nugs for that one).
Yet..it can also take longer because sometimes breeders/dealers shorten time because a lot of folk are on the fast track.
know what you want from your buds...just cloudy or a combination of cloudy & amber.

I use the flowering time on the strain as a guide. I don't harvest sooner then that. I start looking at the Trichs from then on.

Cutting them 2 weeks early, might miss out on some volume. Nice thing about growing your own. Cut them when YOU want.

You can do it if you mess with cycles but i don't think growing your own weed you will think about buying 2 weeks from yourself! You can germ while waiting and switch right over from germ to veg when your tent is empty if you want to be speedy or learn how to do perpetual grows if you have the time/space/money ;) 2 weeks is not long...Just a snip of a plants head..

Like Tika said, go by color of trichomes. Yes, it may bulk up if you give her two more weeks, but if your trichomes are already milky then the harvest window is open. If you let more of the trichomes turn amber you will get more of a couchlock effect. just depends what effect you are looking to achieve.
