Harvest day # 2 ......

Very nice! Large, dank buds for sure_ way to go! I haven't gotten very aggressive with defoliation yet. So far have been trimming leaves that cover desirable bud/growth sites or where leaves are laying on top of each other during the veg stage...and then being more careful during the flowering stage since they aren't going to be producing new leaves once they get serious...When did you start with the defoliation? Do you cut off the nutrients prior to harvest, if so how long before?

I start defoliating from the very beginning....I never stop....no need to be to careful during flowering stage...just leave a few here and there..... I generally leave one per top may be two depends on how big they are when I am doing my cutting......when I flip them into flower I literally skin them down to the chicken bones and let them go for a week or so then slowly start all over.

I don't give any nutrients from seed till the stalk hardens over...usually about two weeks. then I give full strength nutes from then on with no plain ph water ever till flush....then I still use cal mag and bloom booster and cola sweetner........

I have been growing like this for a long time.....I have had endless arguments over the years about how... I do it.. with my group of growing peers .......defoliation and nutrients are very controversial subjects..... people believe that when you have a nice bushy green plant your doing great....I do not believe that to be true at all.....they did it all wrong in my head....I like my plants to be gnarly looking and all tied down and stressed the fuck out and missing lots of fan leaves...to me that is a strong and healthy plant.....the more you stress them the more it makes them work harder and faster to.. fix / heal / and feed that problem area.....means they are using more of the nutrients given to them to help this process......so I give them full strength { unless I happen to burn them which I don't mind at all....it lets me know where that strain is compared to others]....

I can tell everyone on here is a little impressed with my buds and plants...but this grow for me was not as fun as I uaually make it....when I got all set up I had just thrown everything together because we were in the middle of moving in and I needed it in place before I did some remodeling and had no time to sit down and play with them every night so this grow is not a real example of my usual gardens as far as tying them down and twisting them ....now that I have more time I am diverting all me training attention to my baby tika till I can empty out my tent and start over with my new seeds. [THAT I JUST RECIEVED IN THE MAIL TODAY ......THANK GOD I WAS GETTING WORRIED!!]

damn,i have went on and on here...sorry

ATTENTION EVERYONE.....just because I grow like this and have strong opinions for it does not mean I think its the only way and your way sucks...it means this is what I have learned from teaching myself.....I am still learning as we all are

That's gonna be a hell of a harvest. What r u using for lights? It looks so pretty. Almost a shame to break it up and smoke it

......that makes almost 6ozs. from this harvest and still six more plants left....sweet!!

I don't know green. I think if you had to do it for a living, it would take all the fun out of it. Like being a pro fisherman.
