Gingerbeard I thought of you feeling sad about your " cup " so here is my grand kitty we're babysitting AGAIN my daughter's rescue kitty just got haircut looks like that Cheeto cat sorta:love:

I thought shaving cats was some cool... uh... cruel joke. By a god, it IS a cool joke! I'm getting somewhat better with those things. One of my neighbor's was rubbing against my legs and I didn't kick it. Only because the neighbor was there.
Even Dabber is laughing her ass off. I'm going to Photoshop out everything but the cat. Print up a triple sized picture, and put it on the outside glass of my front door. And it's going to be the wallpaper on my computer. Thanks for that @SoOrbudgal.

Yeah. It's even funnier after a dab. This gives me license to shave cats. I'm going to start with the ferals in the neighborhood then grab the cats who's owners let out. What kind of aftershave do cats prefer?
 
I'll keep going. Maybe I'll get an honorable mention for disqualified grows. Or I'll swap them back again and make it all nice. In fact, I already did. Yeaahh… that's the ticket!
 
As long as I keep the plants small I have no problems SoOrbudgal and no differences in Sq pot or round pot except square is easier to cut for root pruning. As JohnEmad has said rootbound and root circling seams to only cause a slow down, it is when the plants try and stretch that I see a problem.
Eliot Pryor it is common to use soil for mothers, Iv been running mine in Coco perlite mix with no problems.
Greenlivin use a serrated bread knife and a square pot, cut 1/4 of a inch off each side and 1/2 inchs off the bottom with a dryer pot. Here is the Gwe.com article on mothers

I’m more concerned about keeping the roots in the cup than I am about getting root bound. I’ve already pinched a few feeder roots that have poked through the my drainage cuts.
 
Day 28 and she had a bit of minor surgery. I pulled the cup and flipped in upside down in my hand, removed about a 1/2 inch of perlite from the bottom of the cup. I then slid her back into the cup and topped the cup off with perlite. I then bent the main stem over and secured it. I’m hoping that I’ve stressed her just enough to delay flowering for another 14-21 days.

Hmm no one "liked" the haircut LOL well I don't either but it's what you do when you rescue a stray/abandoned animal that's matted and uncomfortable.
 
My wife owns a grooming shop and I can attest to the fact that once an animals hair gets matted badly, you have to shave them. There's a real good chance that it was hard to do, especially being a stray. Kudos to whomever accomplished it.
 
The Gawds love animal savers. We're all pretty cool.
But that is funny. Not necessarily in a mean way. Necessarily. I always figured you'd have to put the cat to sleep, so to speak, before doing something like that.
 
Day 32 and started to do a little light trimming underneath to open things up a bit. Surprised at how thick the main stalk is already.
Made a new batch of nutes and did a mini flush with 5.8 ph'd water.
Drip waters 3 times a day for 15 mins.
