Growing colas horiz. or vert.

Hey good people. You know who you are.

The main colas on my plants are, of course, taller than the lessers. Do colas need to grow up or can they be trained sideways? It opens the colas to more light and keeps the even ScroG action happening. Currently splitting sun and LED 6/6.

Yes they can get trained to grow wide instead of straight up. I always do but the tip will always point up no matter what.

When the colas grow back up. Just bend them back down. The secret is to never let the main cola be the tallest part of the plant.

Yes as Cali stated. I've seen youtube video of it trained like a grape vine it was a beautiful thing:bashful:

I figured it's not a bad thing to do for various reasons. Keeping everything the same height. The ends of the colas will turn back up. A lot more light to cola's lower.

I tried to keep a flat canopy with my last grow(wasnt sure about height)...didn't do too bad. When the plant was in veg mode and growing fast the y would go from horizontal to verticle in 12 hrs or less. I probably had to tie them down twice a day so the stem didnt get too tough to manipulate where i wanted them to go. Second grow same plants i LST'd but still gave them a little stretch every day. These take up way more room but are also producing 2-3 times more bud than mother plants.
