Vader started with his development of a signature OG Kush in 2006 starting with SFV and Larry OG against the Mr. E male from the “Mystery Kush†line, although the females had slowly been replaced over the years the male always passes on very dominant OG Kush traits when breeding with Paki and Afghani heavy varieties. Of this Line, 3 phenos were chosen by Vader and Bubblefett out 4 sequential rounds and hunting through over 350 females. Each pheno although slightly different, possessed the most dominant traits of any of OG Kush legacy cuts. These were named Ocean Grown Kush #1 #2 and #3, As a tribute to the “legend†that OG Kush stood for “Ocean Grownâ€. Subsequently this time of development is widely considered the beginning of Ocean Grown Seeds by the Original Team members.
By 2008 V1 Vader OG Kush phenos were chosen and crossed into a Hells cut x Ocean Grown #3. Ocean Grown Kush males #2 and #1 were discarded after the first F1 run. Once again Vader and Bubblefett set out on a deep hunt of pheno searching through hundreds of seeds, three almost identical OG Kush dominant females were discovered, after several test rounds of these chosen phenos. One of the three females was discarded and the following two phenos were referred to as Vader OG and Jedi OG cuts. 2009 and beyond led to these two cuts becoming regular crops in the Team OG line up and the flowers inevitably found their way into Southern California Collectives. Vader OG is the most popular of these cuts. It represents a spicy pine aroma and extreme kushy hashy taste. Often characterized as expressing dominant OG Kush traits, this cut still represents one of the higher yielding OG’s available.
out of the four OG Vader seedlings I planted only one survived, this is it. I don’t know whether it’s a male or female but it is very beautiful.

By the way, I've been using the same translucent soup cups without covering them for clones and seedlings, maybe 20 plants now. I like watching the roots grow to cover about 30% of the visible surface area of the sides before I call it rootbound and transplant to smart pots.
They get a little green with algae, but so far, no problem.

I use the quart soup cups because of the size. It is going to be easier to transplant into a larger container, I’ve been told Both pros and cons of using clear. Vader says he sees no problem with it. The socks are a bonus for holding moisture and keeping the humidity up under my light T fives..😎

Tika A fact that has been suggested to me before and the first reason I put the cotton socks on rather than covering them with tape. I have seen footage and been told by Vader that it doesn’t really matter. Still better safe than sorry and I’ve kept the socks on . They also hold moisture and help keep the space humid under the T5 lights which really don’t get hot at all. I just got a nice 16 inch cheap rotating fan for for only 20 bucks. I’m gonna go and buy the rest of them. And thanks for coming by to say hello. 🌸

Glad your plants are recovering!
That's kinda how mine were looking early on, for the opposite reason, used up soil that I had not re-charged properly. Funny how opposite causes have similar outcomes. Plants are doing great now though, and yours will to!!
Your thread gave me some ideas.
Just ordered a 1750 GPH air pump, and 20lb. of earth worm castings, gonna turn my 100 gallon water tank into a compost tea bubbler! Will hopefully be using most of my own compost eventually, once I can start farming more wrigglers. Going to try and do the continous brew, like you posted in your thread. Keep it on the weak side, and feed the soil every time I water

Only 24 hours later and the worms I got yesterday have made a difference I put a small handful of worms with some castings inthe top of each “soup container†turned off the lights for 10 minutes while they dug underneath and they’re in there. Don’t know when I’ll see him again but plants look great. I took a 10 gallon Rubbermaid tote and drilled holes in the cover and on the side filled it up halfway with living organic soil and dumped 2 pounds of worms and castings on top of that plus I layered some lettuce and some oatmeal. Frank looks happy as a clam.

Hundred gallons of compost that’s pretty big maybe you should do a combination worm bin compost pile anyway my friend Steve that designed that vortex tea brewer he’s help me out a bit sending me some amendments and bio dynamic formulas that he has created and I’m going to be offering them up and helping with sharing his vortex designs and getting his bio dynamic formulas to reach people in our end of agriculture. Bio dynamics have tended to be restricted to farming for food and self contained systems that have livestock. If you need any help let me know he has designed 1000 gallon tea brew systems with tractor tea bags and water pressure steeping. He’s on the South Fork of Long Island where the vineyards are where it used to be potato fields.

Ya, is pretty big! I do plan to use it for my veggies to though, 12x20' greenhouse that is food crops besides my state plant count of 12 that I can have hear, working on a small outdoor vegetable plot to, this summer.
That new growth is looking much better!
Can you imagine if Beethoven had been born later in history? Might have been the worlds biggest rock star instead of composer, can just imagine Beethoven rockin out with the wild hair and crazy eyes, like Plant or Page, smokin a dubby, heading up the counterculture!!

I surely can’t imagine that I believe is true there are some classical artist today that are rock stars Yo-Yo Ma and others not that come to mind immediately though. Beethoven I guess Eno is a classical I just let me see what I can find to go with my picture of the new bud
