Grow tent too hot. (I think)

Currently using a 300W LED, I have been told that it produces a lot of heat and now I have seen the effects. Can anyone recommend a new light to use while they are still young or a way to cool down the tent e.g bigger fan or do I still use the same one but keep moving the light until I find the right height? No Nutes being used at all, grown in a dynamic lifter with a perlite and Peat Moss mix.

I think。。。 This doesn't look like the result of thermal stress.
I use two LED180W in a 8 cm position. And the temperature reached 43 degrees Celsius. After two days, it was found that there was a weak thermal stress effect.
This is my now, the distance
They are healthy.
Keep the air in circulation.
Otherwise, the temperature of the surface will accumulate too high

Doesn't look like heat stress, more like ph issues.

fluorescent bulbs are very popular for veg. Low heat and power consumption.
 
Well shit alrighty hahaha, currently using distilled water while my pH tester comes in the mail (shipping's a bitch).... anything I can do to help them until then?
 
Purple cabbage juicer = PH test paper
PH6.5 Pink
PH7 purple

Distilled water should be neutral ph, the exposure to air causes the ph to read a bit lower than 7. I also use distilled water for my seedlings and have never had to adjust the ph. I think your soil is causing your drift. What kind is it? Maybe it's hot soil? What's a dynamic lifter?
 
I still swear by out T5 6400K fixtures for veg. You can get 2 bulb, 4 bulb and 8 bulb models depending on your needs. Put out little to no heat.
 
This is what the soil. Would storing the water in a plastic bottle be an issue? My first few waters were out of a plastic bottle but I'v now got a glass container.
 
I don't think the plastic bottles make a difference. I have no scientific fact to back that statement up except that we used bottled water throughout our entire grow. Plastic bottles that is.
 
There it is... slow release nutrients.

Not saying I'm positive it's your soil but I'd wager it is. Slow release nutrients are not recommended. I'm not sure how they make an organic slow release. I think you might want to do some research on that.

Promix or sunshine #4 are very popular peat mixes. Fox farms makes some amended soils which are very popular as well.
 
shiiiiiit a mate who had grown before recommended it and I've seen it used with good results on the internet, well I mean if its not the water and the light is good then what else could it be besides the soil. Both of those soils are overseas for me so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get those.
 
When I lived in Iowa I was using soil similar to this, and I've come to find out it doesn't really like all the tree bark! (Or wood chips) plus the slow release nutes can always lead to trouble lol we need these babies to bloom and flower, not just grow leaves and stems! Unless you're keeping her in veg for awhile, of course lol but hopefully that's the only problem! The size is nice!
 
How close is the LED?
I use LED's and have found there was a learning curve, as you can NOT use the internet wisdom for distances of other lights.
I use LED's from seedling through harvest.
I would start at a distance of 30" for a seedling then decrease that distance, as tolerated by the plant- to get to 24".
At that point the plant is growing well and I allow it to grow into the light range of 18-24" (for 150-300w units) in Veg.
 
Iv moved them between 47-57cm away from the light. When I first uploaded I was told they were too far away and would stretch. Maybe lowering them might be the way to go? They are all auto seeds.
 
Cannabis never seems to do well when there's wood chips in the soil, I'm not sure what it is about them!

I took a look at the Yates Potting Mix with Dynamic Lifter to see what the "organic slow release" fertilizer is. I got on chat on the website and they told me that the slow release ingredients are composed of: composted chicken manure, blood and bone, fish meal and seaweed. That actually seems like a lot of really great stuff for cannabis! In fact, I'd say it's got enough amendments that you may not need to fertilize for weeks. I'd definitely gently re-pot to that soil if you can, without disturbing the roots if possible :) My only worry is it might be a little "hot" with nutrients, so you might possibly see some nutrient burn at first on your seedling but it should grow out of it once it starts getting bigger :)
 
Wow man thanks so much! That puts me at ease a little. I haven't added any nutes or any sort of additive to the soil yet which is good. They are currently potted in the Yates, are you suggesting re potting them in new Yates just sift out the wood chips? I don't think I ever said but they are all Auto seeds if that makes any difference. Again thanks for the help :)
