Grow journal grape ape, sour d, big dirty #2

No Title

Hey, hey, hey, ho, ho, ho! How's everyone today? Yesterday was a busy day at Lucky Acres. After being stuck in the ice for 4 days I finally was able to make it to my grow store and get much needed supplies. We fed the ladies, repotted the veggers from 5gal to 10gal nursery pots, repotted the teens to 1 gal and the clones to solo cups, adjusted the scrog, hung fly paper, sprinkled diatomaceous earth on soil, swept, organized, tinkered, cleaned up, listened to toots and the maytals, smoked grape ape and drank alphadelic IPA...The 3 veggers don't seem to wanna slow down so they got a major haircut, probably the last big defoliation before flower in February. The thrips seem to be under control at the moment and the buds have started growing, just clipping along on this 3rd week of flowering, love to all!

Hey man, thanks! I definitely had you sitting on my shoulder during defoliation with mai tai in hand and shouting at me "cut more damnit! More, all those fan leaves, cut, cut, cut!!! More, more, more!!!" Or something along those lines😂😂 pruning is my vice, no shame...

Great update! Yea, Green echos in my mind every time I look at fan leaves then I calm myself with echos of Royal Nugs..

your plants look great!

Hello friends, all the ladies are doing great here! The grape apes are into their 4th week of flower. The plants don't seem to dry out as fast but those 10g bags still take 3+ gallons every 4-5 days. Last watering was just phed water and calmag and bud candy. I also raised the leds a bit after noticing some burnt budlets. Leds are a beast of their own to manage I'm realizing.
The veggers are chilling. 2 big "sour d" and 1 big "big dirty", the clones are a mismatch of both plus 2 donated atf. Everybody is putting on the inches. Due to overcrowding a small number of clones were marched down to the compost pile. More space for the others! The worms are smoking!
Nothing else really, everything is just cruising at the moment!
Thanks for reading, cheers!

Grow journal
So here I go peeps, first grow journal and first grow really but long time thc lover and 20+ years as a pro gardener in the pacific nw. State licensed medical grow op.
I started this thing in July with 2 other guys(1 of them had the knowledge, I didn't), didn't work out between us, lost our first crop to every freaking pests on the market so flying solo now with the web and my experience as side kicks. Never ending thanks to you 2!
The ladies.
6 grape ape clones, 1.5 months into veg, going into flowering mid Decemberish.
2 sour diesel clones, 1.5 months into veg, will go into flowering mid February when the apes are done. Yes they will be really big by then!!!
and 1 big dirty #2 non feminized seed, jury still out on gender, 1.5 months into veg., if it's a female going into flowering same as sour d, if male ... well you know what happens to them...
Also in process of cloning more ape. All plants are in a mix of ocean forest soil(2parts) and coco coir(1part).
The set up.
10x15 fully insulated shed, gravel floor covered with thick construction liner to keep dust down and moisture from rising.
Both room are fed fresh air via 4 can fans(6"each, 2 exhausts ans 2 intakes) and are monitored with a Saturn 5 controller and a 70 pint dehumidifier. Right now both rooms are "together" since everyone is vegging. Black visqueen will separate them when 12/12 happens.
Day temps between 75 and 82
Night temps between 66 and 75
Rh between 45 and 60.
Room #1: t5 lights (12 bulbs total) and I ground fan.
Room #2: 2x 1200w viperspectra led, 4' t5 bay(8bulbs) in between leds, 8' long t8s to cover edges of grow space. 2 ground fans, 1 fan chest high, 1 oscillating fan above them all.
All the plants are set on cinder blocks to allow airflow below and are in a constant breeze.
And I play music for them and myself every time I work in there. Hell yeah!
Enough yapping, now the goods.

Everything looks really good looks like you have all the right equipment and keeping everything in line. You should have a spectacular grow. I do mean spectacular.

Thanks sir! I'll be satisfied with just a regular grow at this point. But yeah it's going pretty well for a first time alone.

Oregon but you got till February to make it, snow shoes on sir! That would be awesome to have you guys here...seriously fucking awesome...

I have found that some led' just burn a little more I think it's the number or brightness in one color of the spectrum ? $.02

I wouldn't know, got mine after a friend recommended them, pretty happy so far but I have nothing to compare them to being my first grow. The verdict will be out in 5 weeks!

Subscribed LuckyAcres, you are rocking your grow shed. I'm in the Great NW.....Washington and I have relatives in Oregon. You are the first person I've seen with a link in there signature, again, great job all around.

Good morning everyone!
Not much new on the grape ape front. Pushing buds and stinking up the place is all they're good for these days! Not holding it against them though. I added a bunch of cfl around to enlighten the scrog so to speak, lowes came thru. Nute intake is peachy cream, thanks again to my fair city for bringing the tap water ph to perfect pot growing conditions! Part of the legalization process?
The veggers are fine too, with roots growing in the saucer I had to transplant the 3 bigs into 15gal, root wizard does work apparently! All the little gals are fine too, moving the solo cups to 1gal today since 24F means I'm staying home from work again.
Going out of town for 4 days last week end with basically all the growers I know, I had to find a way to keep an eye on the grow and after trying 3 crappy models I finally settled on the arlo q video surveillance camera. I stuck it in front of my controller so I could see temps, rh and the fans blowing the Mylar around. I knew plants were watered, just had to make sure power stayed on! Mission accplished, I was able to party without stressing about my green girls.
No new year resolutions for me, never cared much for setting myself up for failure right off the bat, I like to wait till late summer for that. Nope, just gonna keep on growin'!
