Hey buddy...I just found your journal. I agree bring the plants up a bit closer. Maybe some blocks of wood or books, a bucket anything to slow the stretch for light. When they get tall and lengthy like that the plants are trying to get closer to the light source. So raising them up would stop the drastic reach. Good luck
 
I raise them up today. They are probably about 18 inches from the light now. But here's my concern! Am I going to end up with leggy plants with few buds now because of this mistake?
 
They will be ok. They are still young. They'll grow as high as they need to, to get the light. Now its closer, they'll stop reaching.
 
The main thing is to get the plant to the end. Not everytime will be perfect. But every time teaches me something new. That makes me better next time. At least that is my approach. These are tougher than an orchid 😉
You will be showing me up in no time.
 
Only 7 out of 10 came up. And the ones that did come up the first ones are really long and leg you like the photo shows. I will be putting them into the kind soil 3 gallon pots when I see Roots beginning to show in the rapid Rooter plugs. Really disappointed that only 7 of 10 came up, I'm pretty upset about the stretching business. But you're right California Kid, it's all a learning experience.
 
70% sprout isn't bad. Many are happy with 80%. Wheree did you get your seeds?

As Rich pointed out a gentle breeze will help strengthen the stem.
 
I still have them under the dome! I have a fan going in the room but they aren't getting any Breeze. I was keeping them under the dome because I was waiting for the others to come up. Should I take off the Dome as soon as they sprout or wait a few days? The first four are like 10 days
 
Okay but what about the ones that are just coming up out of the plug? The one that's got both ends in the plug because it can't get its head out. These will dry out too much too quickly won't they? I can't tell you how frustrated I am about this. I feel like trashing the whole thing. I got the seeds from Nirvana
 
Come on man hang in there, I have killed many seedlings. Ever ride a dirt bike or a horse? Well if you have then you have probably crashed a time or two. I sure have. But I still love it. Loads of fun, so despite a crash now and then I still get back on and ride.
 
Lol great analogy kid. I was in the Hospital for a month after a 4 wheeler accident
2 days after I got out went back and used the same 4 wheeler to find the keys I lost in the accident. Lmao
 
Greenpassion Hi, found your thread. You`ve got great help with these folk here. I`m gonna sit and watch how this develops as it`s very educational. I`m sorry to hear about your loss and your experience with your `teacher`. Here it`s different. There are some really nice folk here and I think it will allow you to explore any grow issues in a way that should really help you. There`s also alltatup excellent grower and in many ways the `regimental mascot` of GWE ( alltatup And before you start that is a very polished compliment. :) ) . Finally, another really excellent auto`s grower is Green75 He is well worth checking out, very much pushing the boundaries of what auto`s can do. Saying that, it`s been a while since I clocked him. For all I know he may be shacked up with a harem in Outer Mongolia which really is not a bad way to spend a Thursday afternoon, I suppose. Anyway, wishing you the best :)

Thank you guys. I'm just really stressed with trying to get this off the ground and my work situation. I work in a psych and substance abuse hospital and we may be going on strike. Anyway, since these all come in emails and I end up discarding them I've written down these other members names. Don't give up on me. I run for the cliff sometimes but I don't usually jump off...
 
Lol if your in a legal state is pot considered a substance? If not will help you get off all that other shit.
 
PaganRich, I am unable to find where you posted to me. I get the email through Yahoo quoting part of your post but I cannot find it anywhere when I search gwe. This is so fucking frustrating. I don't have time you posted something about getting the seedlings head out of the plug, and I can't find that post on gwe. So I don't even know what the whole messages. Can you tell me what Forum or the title of the thread is and where I can find it?
 
No. I think from now on everyone wanting to post to me should do it in my grow journal only! I keep looking any and looking and I just don't have time for this! I'm getting too stressed.
 
Calm down and take a breath. We need people here. I know im fucked in the head and even posted a thread that I was leaving. Just calm down, smoke some more weed, and you will be ok. Dont leave. Just post when you can.
