Thanks guys, but the plant is all smoked. It was nearly impossible to keep it lit, being so green and all, but I'm one persistent MoFo.with a plumbing torch! Of course I'm kidding.
Tika and Bob: A lot of strains are known specifically for coloration, as I see on the different seed websites. This one, TGA Dairy Queen) didn't say anything about it, but the petal tips are turning a pretty purple, while the pistils are orange. Dairy Queen Jr, the mini grow in the orchid pot, was much darker colored foliage than the big one, even though it was fed pretty much identically, under the same lights. Also, the trichomes aren't nearly as thick on jr.
They smell like juicy fruit gum, but the smoke has sort of a cheesy flavor, like a blue cheese, or one of those weird english cheeses. Very thick, like a smudge pot!
Tat: that was exactly the reminder I needed, that this stuff is getting STRONGER! WooHOO!! That is obviously the only thing that makes the waiting make any sense at all, not that I'm doing a whole lot of it any more.
The flush part was pretty sporadic, I started a week ago, but every once in a while, with her leaves wilting and fading, I keep thinking she needs a little more than water. So I've given her whole milk, diluted 1:1 until it just starts leaking out the bottom, a couple times.
The difference between these very first, uncured, prematurely harvested buds is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!
But the fact I have been able to smoke any of this harvest is a testimony to the name and ethos of THIS growing community- growweedEASY!!
In contrast to the meticulous, diligent growers here who put so much work into refining their processes and grow spaces, timing their feeds and EVERYTHING, producing beautiful beautiful buds, I'm a lazy, impetuous, imprecise, and yet, with all your help, I grew some sticky-ass nugs! Growing weed EASY rocks!!
Lucky: play date coming up! We should wait for this shit to cure, though.
