Good Morning Y'all

My time to pick up the torch. Good morning fine growers and farmers, environmentalist, meteorologist, botanist, florist, or hacks. How the heck are YOU today?

Things are beautiful right now aren't they? Life is sweet. The flowers are beautiful. Breathe in the sun today- try and feel her magnetic heat penetrate your skin. (if you're in a colder climate like me)

I currently have 3 nice flowering autos- the 2 blueberrys took a sativa trait- the skunk took a shorty trait. Because of my wacky air flow issues from time to time, battling cold and humidity, environmental etc... I defoliate the crap out of these girls. They look pretty nice however- with another month to go. Ill snap some photos tonight for some updates- I have some updating to do.

The word of the day is...... DEFOLIATE

Its OK to do this. It actually encourages growth and depending on the specific time you cut, really helps things along-
-airflow
-heartier stems and branching
-more light to bud zones
-less chances of annoying leaf issues (mildew, poor ventilation)
-keeps you really involved and learning- watch that new gigantic leaf pop up in a few days- you wouldn't believe it.

That is all for me

Hey sir good morning to you too! No sun here today I'm afraid but got plenty of trimming to do myself so I'll most likely get my neck tan improved after all! My new grow just went under the scrog yesterday and it's an angry jungle! Pruning I will.

Good morning everyone from the sunny south. I said sunny, not warm, it got real cold last night (lower 30's) but that beats the heck out of the northeast where I am originally from. Being a first time grower I read about defoliation, so I decided my first grow (bagseed experiment) was going to get a haircut. It was amazing, combined with LST I ended up with the tabletop shape everyone aims for. The defoliation really opens up the budsites allows my lights to reach all of them.

I did no topping and very little LST for first grow. I did defoliate only those that were blocking bud sites. We had an okay yield, but now thanks to this forum, I will not be afraid to do any and all of that stuff. Seeing proof via pictures of the difference it makes it just astounding! Getting another grow underway in March. Can't wait to get it started so I can practice all the techniques I've learned.

Good morning everyone. I do defoliate, just not to the extent Green does. I find the autos don't like it that much, but they come around.

Good Morning ! The sun is shining and the temps are supposed to get to 80 degrees this afternoon. I think I'll roll a fatty, load my fishing gear, and take my kayak to the lake. Life is sweet and beautiful! Thanks for asking, Chemichael!

I'm currently growing 9 clones, 5 weeks along. Four Bubblelicious, four Aurora Indica, and one Black Jack. Soil and CFLs but it's my best, most bountiful grow yet!

I defoliate for the first time a few days before the 12/12 flip. Then I defoliate again at the end of week 1 and week 2 in flower. After that, just a leaf or two, here and there. These clones have more of the small sugar leaves than I had on previous grows and still look really full but I have opened them up from bottom and center for good air flow.

Hey Chem, good morning to you all!! Today was defoliation day indeed, also a sunny one for the first part ;) Day 10 after the flip and the fans have been plucked leaving the tops only as light munchers!!Will see in a couple days!! I was having cold issues esp during nightime so i put the oil heater and a fan behind it pushing towards the tent...keeping night temps at 19 and day temps at 25 seem to work much better than 18 - 23! Good luck matie, thanks for being around!

GOOD Morning to You too Chemichael! I also awoke to the sunshine (28 Deg. F) but an expected high (ALL puns are intended! LOL) of 62 Deg. You do ,Sir, have a most wonderful suggestion, I'll fire one up as well! Life is good and like my Daddy use to say " It's a great day as long as you don't wake up lookin' at the root side of the grass!" lol. It's still a few more weeks to harvest, but I'm still enjoying the last one!
Here's some 'baby' pics.
