3/26/2021 FLOWER UPDATE!!!
These same plants as seen below in flower Week four and End of Week Five (purple). As the girls go into week six they are looking very good, I think. The PEX isn’t as bodacious as the DGOG but, of the two, it was the most stressed back in December when I began the turn around.
Honestly, I hadn’t expected things too look this good and whatever yield comes from this two clone grow, I will be happy with.
I have started several clones from these two plants for the summer growing experiment.
Never give up.

AFTER CONSULTING WITH FOX FARMS I PROCEEDED WITH A TWICE A WEEK WATERING W/NUIT SCHEDULE, INSTALLED A SMALL FAN AND CROSSED MY FINGERS. I have posted the results in pics below (if it will let me). The improvement is remarkable. HOWEVER, notice the shape of the leaves? As the Pineapple Express (right) has grown it has gone from just two points to three points. The Durango OG on the right has been three point for a long time and continues to be so. I’m hoping the next leaf sets on each will be five point. FINGERS CROSSED. Poor little buggars. They was starvin’ and needed a cool breeze. I’ll keep for another month see what happens.

Another first time canna grower here. I consider myself a fairly successful grower of many things indoor and out. The canna grow has me perplexed. I picked up a couple of clones back in September. they were very healthy, had great roots and I was excited. Now this was started as an experiment to see if I could be successful. At this point I am a miserable failure. My plants are pathetic. I have read everything I can get my hands on and I’m more confused than ever. I haven’t invested in a full out grow system yet. It’s a fair investment and I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger. I wanted to see if the two banks of LED grow lights would be sufficient to fill the small four shelf 24†x 19†greenhouse I already had. I fitted the greenhouse with quilted insulation, kind they use for those silver fold up windshield screens people use on their dash boards. Plants are in 3 gallon pots, FFO soil, heating mat, humidifier and meter to track both. Lights on timer currently running 18 on for veg stage. I also have a meter to gauge soil ph, water content and light.
Watering has been a challenge. Sadly, I just discovered I should not be using distilled water, I read somewhere else I could use it and that’s what I have been using. My water is very alkaline here in the mountains of central New Mexico and there’s a lot caliche so I was hesitant to use it. I started feeding after three weeks using a reduced, deleted amount of big bloom and watered until it rain out of the pot., twice a week as recommended. But they soil never seemed to dry out in-between and soon the plants began to exhibit peculiar stunted growth and started to look like they might be overwatered or maybe even nuit burned. So I held back on both but the pots never seem to dry out enough to feel light or dry. The surface is dry, but just below the surface it’s moist and the moisture meter indicates moist not wet at the root. No root smell either.
So I ordered a bunch more stuff to complete the set-up, a small personal fan to move the air around the tiny space. I hadn’t been using a fan because my thermometer stays between 70 and 74 degrees so I figured I didn’t need one? But what the hell, I bought a fan and I will vent out the top of the greenhouse. I got a ph test kit, up and down as well as a ph meter.
Now given all of this, I don’t think it should be this difficult to get a damn plant to grow. Mine grow up, but not out. They don’t branch and they are clearly stunted. This is three months growth!!! They leaf sets come out and very quickly the tips turn yellow, eventually the whole leaf. I have many plants in my house and I’m pretty good at this stuff, but apparently not for behold my shame....
, my first post and grow. I have some brown spots on one of my plants ( Anaconda seeds, anaconda auto) have a 4x4 tent with 11 auto plants in 3 gallon buckets. One anaconda auto, one Bcn critical xxl, one auto grande crack and 8 anaconda seeds northern sky.
. For all i know they got way to hot in that little green house? The water from the get go was not good for weed. I'm thinking these are toast after 3months unless you want to keep trying to bring these back, they are not dead but are starving for food. NPK
