Ok so I was going to use foxfarm nutes and didn't do it. After about 4-5weeks in foxfarms ocean forest soil I added earth dust - boost. 2-3-6. Its supposed to be 2 part. Base first then boost. Well I didn't have the earth dust when I started it. So no base.
I water with 24hr airated w/ vitamin C for the chlorine and chloramine. I havent really used PH pen because of the organic soil and amendments are supposed to figure the PH out itself.

Well they started to yellow. Just the tall ones. I did lower the light after I harvested the zkittlez. Not under 24inches tho and 60%power. The light is now raised to about 26-29inches from tops. The leaves of the tall critical purples are the affected ones.
They pointed up at first so I raised light a little then. Well it doesn't seem to get better yet.
I added the next round of the boost top dressing. Hopefully they will start to look better.

Can you guys identify the issue?

Plus I'm trying to get the watering down good where it's not getting to dry.

I’m not positive but I think you have to ph the ffof since you didn’t use the ED base then you probably should be PHing

Does the ph up and down hurt microbial life in the soil like synthetic fertilizers?

I flushed them but the symptoms have kept spreading. I'm more worried now for the smaller one with multiple leaves dying back.

New grower here. I'm growing two Bubba Kush and tow Blueberry Glue plants outdoor, and none of the plants are doing particularly well. All of them have yellowing leaves, especially at the lower half of the plant, with leaves dropping off. From what I've read, it seems to be nitrogen deficiency, but adding organic accelerator pellets, which are high in nitrogen, doesn't seem to have helped. Any idea what might be causing it and what I might do? thanks

They are getting eaten by bugs and soil looks compacted like it needs some aeration pots too small?

I'm not sure but doesn't calcium sulfate (gypsum) balance PH to around 7? I have gypsum for my mushroom cult.
I just got a water filter that should help. I do think I need to PH using the filter. In organic soil anyway.

So I used my water filter for first time. The PH after the filter was 8.8
Supposedly 'earth dust' can be watered with the water out of filter. No need to PH. But that shit was high and I was afraid. I lowered it to 6.8
Since I didn't use base but did use boost, I knew I would have issues.

I'm vegging White Widow in soil right now, they are manifolded and growing profusely using HLG 260's. Problem is, I'm getting so much foliage it's ridiculous and my internodes are short, like less than an inch. I'm getting suckers at each leaf internode and I keep trimming this all back in hopes that the mains will grow upward without getting so crowded. I've probably trimmed 2 lbs of leaves off so far.

My question is, is constantly trimming suckers and leaves off the mains as they grow upward (I have 8 mains per plant) what I want to do? I'd like 8 fat colas per plant. Am I ruining bud sites by doing this? Should I just flip it and let it go? They're about 10-12 inches tall.

This happens during veg when we trim alot when they are young. I still do it i don't want to but like you i can't keep my hands off the plants once this happens. You still got those 8 they are'nt going anywhere but after you flip focus on the bud sites. After week 3 of 12/12 it should not grow much taller but this is when we take off those shoots and keep the focus on the bud sites. I had a outdoor Thai that sent little shoots like this wild crazy could hardley keep up with them. After it bloomed for over a month i kept trimming those shoot off and they did not reappear put the focus on those 8 main. For now those will keep happening. I keep telling myself over and over to keep my hands off while they are growing so well.

If I don't trim every week, the leaves crowd each other so badly, overlapping and touching 4 deep. I can't imagine what it would be like if I let all the suckers grow out. There is just so much leaf and internode suckers I can barely fit my hand in there it gets so tight.

I just keep trimming as they grow upward, leaving the 8 mains with some room to breathe.

The internodes where I trim have those big spikes on them so I assume they will be sites later on.

​Hi, I am 28 Days into flower and I noticed some spotting on the top leaves of a few of my girls.




I removed a leaf tip from the second pic and put it under a microscope:



I thought it might be calcium, so I gave them en extra dose BioBizz calmag, 1.2 ml/L
but it is still progressing.

I thought It could be light burn so I went down to 40k lux but I think it is still progressing.

They are Special Queen, feeding has been:

Biobizz Grow 2ml/L for the first 2 weeks of flower not down to 1ml/L
Biobizz Bloom 1ml/L for the first 2 weeks now 2ml/L
Cal Mag .5 ml/L with every feeding (soft water)

any tips are highly appreciated.

I have read gyp does not affect PH, I use dolomite lime for up and sulfur for down, both pelleted. You can use other things, banana tea is acidic and wood ash is alkaline, both are good for our girls.

First have you looked for bugs using at least a 30x zoom lens? (on the under side of all leaves)
Second whats the PH?
