First Hydro Grow

New member
New to the Forum. Here are a few pics of my first hydro grow. Week 8, GH nutes, (2) 300 W LED's.
Plant on left of group shots was FIM'd. Plant on right with single spike was not. That's a runt up front with one spike. All from Soma/Lavender 2 clones.
This site has been most helpful.

Thank you. Hopefully, not beginner's luck. Just following directions. Check pH morning and eve, and adjust. H2O level is an inch or so above the line to help flow. Currently consuming close to .5 gallons per day. "Booth" is made from painted foam core board. Adding filtered air flow seemed to help with growth in late veg stage. First pistils just starting to turn amber.

Hi, Thank you. Here is a pic with lines added to show the FIM girl (left) Original girl (right) and little girl up front. The two larger plants were from near identical clones.
The FIM'd one just took off about a week after the cut, which I had to do twice to get clean. The little one got a minor LST with one 90 degree bend, then over and up.
This added some little vertical growth where there would be none. Pistils are turning amber.

Thank you. Enjoying your grow journal now. Thanks for posting that. I learned about FIM and LST here. Will probably be doing more of that.
I like the labor intensive parts of growing. And the chemistry set parts. All fun. I think I'll be looking at beneficial defoliation also. More food to the top seems like a good idea.
Water Farm and clay balls seem to be working well. Over oxygenation with a large, fine air stone helps keeps microbes and such away, so far. Just started adding CaMg+, organic, during week
7. Hopefully, the high O2 will keep everything nice. More pics as things develop.
