Sorry folks, you guys are the only ones I can talk to about growing. I am coming up on harvest AND a 5 day get away scheduled by Spousal Unit. I can see one or two amber trichomes this morning so I am hoping I can harvest in about two weeks. I prefer effects of harvesting early in harvest window rather than later. If I can harvest in 2 weeks that will give me time to dry and have about a week into curing before I have to leave. I feel more comfortable if I can burp jars for a week before throwing in some Boveda packs and leaving unattended for 5 days. What say ye???

Uses a dehydrator method you might check out. He states that it doesn't alter his buds in anyway.
Or...get brand new paint cans put the buds in, hammer down air tight and overnight them to someone who will burp them for you in jars and ship back in cans overnight.( not legal of. Course).
otherwise sounds like a reasonable plan you have.

Care to pm me your address??? 😉 Can't remember who's tag line says "if you want to make God laugh, make a plan" but have been thinking about it a lot lately!!!

I think that plan sounds reasonable, although I wonder about the effect of the humidipaks on the cure process. Or perhaps you could leave half of your jars with humidipaks and half without, and then compare the effects.

PuravidaC If you are seeing some amber triches, I assume that the vast majority of the others are milky; why wouldn't you choose to harvest now so as to have more control over the rest of the procedure?

It is somewhat of a balancing act! 🤔 I would like to see buds fatten up some more before harvest. I let her veg for 8 weeks instead of the 6 weeks I usually do and now I am having some regrets!!!

Yep, just trying something different this time. Yield was lower than expected on last grow but I'm thinking that was my fault... 🤔

Believe it or not, my first harvest was my biggest!!! Talk about setting a high bar!!! I thought I had it all figured out!!! 😂

Well, life is funny that way! But what I realized last weekend when a group of former students were in town for Commencement and we was all gettin high together (a la Donald Sutherland in Animal House), that I am learning LIFE LESSONS from growing weed:

These former students are all now close to turning 30, going through this and that, and I kept saying, "Yeah, that was like how I felt when I lost power for a week duing my first grow," or "Yeah, it's like the root rot I had to contend with on my second grow," or "I feel you!! It's like when the fungus gnats attacked my reservoir!" Then I would go on to clarify that I knew that I had no choice but to deal with it to the best of my ability and try to salvage the situation. I couldn't go around it, I wasn't ready to throw in the towel and just start again, I couldn't get someone else to do it, I couldn't ignore it: I had to deal with it and find solutions.

I knew exactly what I meant, and I think they all thought I was just high... But I know that I'm getting better at dealing with adversity.

Couldn't agree more... I like to believe it is wisdom!!! 😆 isn't that supposed to be the next stage of our lives????
