FastBuds, Fastberry -C4 DAY 9D

I had no idea what a Cottonmouth was. So, I looked it up.....`Agkistrodon piscivorus is a venomous snake, a species of pit viper, found in the southeastern United States. Adults are large and capable of delivering a painful and potentially fatal bite`......ffs. We`d shit a brick over here if we had to contend with that. I got outstarred by a stag beatle once and that was quite scary, I tell you. Mind you I was very blasted. I don`t want to think what a pit viper is. Name sounds bad enough. We`d have no cats left if we had those fuckers here....there`d be a meow, rustle of bushes then everyone putting up posters for a missing Tiddles..

Here in America we still let giant man-eating lizards roam around. Right Daas?
Still got watch out for gators and crocs too, all for the sake of cannabis. If the gators and snakes don't get you, the ticks and bugs will.
Up here, the cougars watch you hike. Fun times!

I used to make my money as a teen catching cottonmouths. Sold them to Mr Moxley who sold them to make anti venom. Lol And My father in law has a 9 foot gator that lives in his backyard in Mobile Alabama. Lol

Sod that for a laugh. Too many hungry things with teeth. Most I have to deal with are irrate flies around my compost tea. That can be pretty hairy. There`s this one fly, named him Howard. Reckon he`s blind as a bat cos he keeps flying into my face. Either that or he`s got small fly attitude and is in a mood for a fight which would be pretty stupid considering I`ve got a hammer somewhere around here. Not so cocky then, eh, splattered across a work surface are you Howard? !!! Anger management course is going well.
alltatup do you have any critters of inconvenience around your neck of the woods?

Jesus Christ Almighty....How the hell do you catch a Cottonmouth? A 9 foot gator. I always get confused...which are bigger crocs or gators....Does he mind having a gator as a neighbour. Can`t exactly wander outside willy nilly can you? What about the post. Do they have to dash in and out to deliver? Would it eat the dog. S`ppose it would be just a snack. Would cause panic where I live that`s for sure

PaganRich, I usually see 4-5 cottomouth moccasins ever time i go in the woods, remember, I'm in the Mississippi River swamps, very common site, is snakes an gators, I ain't scared of gators, but after I got bit one time, by a poison cottomouth, I don't like them anymore, and we used to catch 20-30 a day, when I was a young boy.
But what I really hate, is the skeeters, they will eat your ass, up.
And the Redbugs, when they get seized on your family jewels, or codz, as we call them, it ain't no fun, either, unless, you got an 18year old Blonde, to pick them off, lol.
Have a mellow evening everyone.

Lol well the easiest way to catch a cottonmouth is to put a person in a john boat at night with a lantern. Have another walk the banks of the lake or river. They will get scared off by the one on the banks and go right to the light and you just snatch em up. Just dont let them get in the boat without noticing. Lol

And yes gators will eat dogs, cats, and pretty much anything for that matter. They USUALLY dont mess with people. Dogs learn real quick to stay away from them, or to stay to their sides. They are fast straight but cant turn real well. And gators dont get as big as african crocs for sure but a 9 foot gator is kind of a baby. People who live in the deep south of the US and live near water just get used to them. So the fed ex man and postman dont mind as long as the gator aint on the front porch. Lol

Bloody hell, mate. Not remotely like that here. Just re-introducing beavers here into the wild and already everyone`s up in arms. That`s looking pretty tame now I can tell you :D

D.A.A.S.69 Started some seeds tonight; Bud Bud Bling Tingz!, Purple Envy, Liberty Haze & Chemdog Millionaire. Going to veg slowly as having some time away. What`s coming up grow wise with you? :)

I am solidly with PaganRich ... YIKES! it literally sounds like "Bloddy hell"

There is absolutely no way that I would be willing to do either of those jobs (in the boat or walking the bank). Not a chance. I am just sitting here shaking my head!

I deal with rattlers when I go hiking/camping, but I deal with them by leaving them the F alone!

PaganRich, mate ! I thought you were taking a break ,for a while, ? I know I am thru with indoors ,until winter, damn light bills.
That sounds like a nice bouquet of plants, your starting, I know they will be nice !!
I got a bunch of autos, bout 20, that's doing ok, and some old favorite standbys, Oaxacan sativas, that always do nicely, that we've been growing for years, some of these seeds are over 40years old. And some still sprout, lol That's growing in the swamps-woods now.

Redwasp, we were raised on the banks of the Ms.River, at a place called EagleLake,Ms.
Snakes are on every log, in the summer time, more than turtles, even. But most ain't cottonmouths, though, I have seen cottonmouths swallow big Red and Black squirrels, whole before, They don't mess around, they are lots meaner, than a rattler,
They don't bite just once either, they eat your ass, up, they don't quit biting. If you got a good nose, you can smell them, before you see them, they stink like sh-t, and when you piss, them off, and they open their mouths, looks just as
white as snow.

But I'm sure you know about them.
PS, we have had many snakes fall in our boats, while going under trees when fishing, and a bunch have been cottonmouths, and we have broke at least 30 boat paddles , over the years, even knocked a hole in the aluminum boat one time, trying to kill a damn snake.

KingKush, I've been hearing of a good many MountainLion-Cougar, attacks lately.
They say ,they are getting close to town's also. I guess, some folks might be feeding them, But they damn sure don't need no help getting supper, those animals are excellent hunters, and very stealthy, I'd be careful in them woods or mountains, and that ain't no sh't. I wouldn't want to mess with them ,at all.
But a cottonmouth, that's another story, his head is coming off, my friend, lol

Yes they are mean for sure. Not sure if its true but was always told growing up that they are the only snake that can bite while underwater. And yes water snakes look alot like what we usually call moccasins growing up. Water snakes are alot more common. I never outgrew my love for catching and having snakes. Still have 2 boas. Both about 10 feet long, maybe a bit bigger.

Hey Redwasp, yeah, that's not true, me an one of my best friends were bass fishing, wading waist deep in a small farm pond, and my buddy said something was biting him, and we came out of the water, and a water moccasin was wrapped around his knee, and had done bit Tommy 3-4 times, he snatched it from his leg, and didn't even go to the Doctor, didn't even get sick.

I'm a late comer to this subject , We were out one night doing hasty ambushes we broke up into two man teams then we scattered ,well we saw a patrol coming so we dove in the woods and were waiting for them all of a sudden I felt something bump my leg oh F k I said sure enough it went over my leg and in between them ,fffffff k
it seemed like two hours but it was only a couple of minutes well it finally went over the second leg went it hit the ground I left it my buddy said it was like a cartoon he said I jumped about 4 feet and took off without touching the ground ,well I scared the patrol so bad because they were right beside us when I came running out of the woods at full speed, I was moving like someone pored turpentine on my ass lol and I'm 6-3 was about 240 lbs at the time

So its Bears I worry about in the woods now our areas are in berry patches and I see bear sign all the time ,I dont want to run into one and surprise it good way to get your ass kicked in the worst way if you live so thats why me and my 45 walk together lol

All I can say is, a revolver with snake shot makes me feel better in snake country.
300 blackout works great for hogs, probably just about anything else that wants to make me a snack lol.
