Failure to clone

A cats thumb 🤣 I love it!!! Yeah, I considered most would be high as they read that & being mildly autistic I know I'm not real good at communication or explaining things. I hope I made sense.

Alright ladies and gentlemen it's day 2 for mid to right. Sprayed dome only and filled base of tray with 350ppm 6.4 ph water right to the base of tray that the rooters sit in.

Starting to feel like it might work this time around!

Thanks again all

Nice! See, this is really pretty easy. It's just confusing when you have read it, but haven't tried it with your hands, yet.

Day 3 - with the heating pad on I'm getting in the dome temps around 31C with lights on. Too high?

Some plants were visibly wet (even though I'm not spraying plants directly anymore) so I opened vents.

Still wet after a couple more hours so I took lid off completely.

Planning to put lid back on once I see they're not visibly wet

Still no roots visible out bottom of any. Even the ones on left which must be well over a week now.

But having water in bottom seems to be the way to go. Keeps the bottoms nice and damp.

Thanks again guys

They're not wilting, and they even look a little bigger than the first pic you shared.

Remember the root nubs are little, and covered by the rooter cube. The roots will have to grow long enough to protrude from the bottom, about a half inch.

It's taken me about 10-14 days to get roots sticking out of rooters. But they're vigorous.

Yup I’m inpatient so I usually peek in the rock wool cubes to see if any roots are growing that’s usually how I find out. I start spreading the bottom or the top where I insert the clone to look.

If the medium stays wet and doesn’t allow to dry out a bit, there will be issues with anaerobic bacteria. You will get soft mushy stems and plants will slump into a death spiral.

Just as an FYI to anyone following, all the clones on the left got extremely droopy and I thought they were dead after maybe 2-3 hours without a lid. Put lid back on after discovering and they're back to standing up.

Now the lid is on but vents are open to try and prevent visible moisture on the leaves and bacteria forming

Yeah it can be hard to wait. My last few batches I was peaking now and again but this time I am trying to leave well enough alone

DingusKhan Tbats what she said haha that’s funny. But that was fast. Now a good watering with some hydrated kelp meal and or some alfalfa meal tea and watch her explode in vegetative growth.

Might have screwed these up. Got excited and moved them into some light nute coco in a solo cup not under dome. Two hours later they are droopy to the point of looking dead. Now I have them back in the dome lol

But at least I'm getting closer regardless. First time making roots 🙏

Hmmm.... what was that?.... About 4 days?

& no she is not ready to be treated like a grownup. She isnt stable yet, mine just spent her 1st full night without a dome last night.

That’s why I said some kelp meal. Helps her with stress and helps her get strong for her juvenile stages.Today Nebulas weekly email talks a bit about Kelp, only problem is she is recommending liquid kelp extract or powder. It’s my understanding that by that point a lot of the benefits of kelp have been stripped out. There are good quality extracts make sure it’s cold pressed at the very least not sure about the powder though. Kelp meal is the ticket start by having it in your soil then top dress and water it in. Or 1 tablespoon per gallon of water of hydrated kelp meal and your good to go.

Nice work! ... now you need to get her established (unless you are growing in deep water culture) What is your growing medium? Soil? Coco?

The ones showing roots are the 4-5 I had in there before this. So they are maybe closer to 11-12 days. Not entirely sure.

But I have a lot more faith the others on day 5 will come in time.
