Dumb Autoflower question -- light spectrum

Autoflowers are a new, untried thing for me, but I've decided to make a run of them in a month or two. My question is about light spectrum. Probably already answered, but I didn't find it. Assuming we have lights with veg and bloom switches (or ballasts with MH and HPS bulbs), should autoflowers be run under veg lighting for the first few weeks, until obviously in flower, and then be switched to the bloom spectrum, or should they just be started under the bloom spectrum? And yes, I realize bloom means veg+bloom.

bubba29 , I think your gonna love autos, hope so anyway.
But if your LED has a veg switch, that's where you need to keep it, until they start flowering. Some folks wait a week or so afterseeing pistils, before turning both bloom an veg switches on.
Hope that helps you.and Welcome to GWE. GoodLuck an HappyGrowing! !

Okay, so spectrum and intensity-wise about what you'd do for a photoperiod plant. Veg spectrum and (usually) lower intensity for veg, then full steam for bloom. I realize the light cycle is considerably longer for autos. I managed to get a 7 pack of some Mephisto beans I'd been interested in for awhile, but I'll probably start with something less dear first. Maybe some pineapple express. Fast buds recommends hydro/coco for those, so I'm thinking hempy buckets, which is something else I haven't done before, but it sounds pretty simple, and I'm not quite ready for dwc.
