does growing in coco have less pest problems than soil?

I have never used coco, but everyone I have talked too say that there is less of a bug problem with coco. But if you treat your soil before you use it, then you won't have any trouble with soil either.

I think that soil tends to have more bugs just because it provides them the environment they like to live in. I haven’t had any big issues in hydro. But I also don’t have a place for them to flourish. But I tend to see bug
issues far more often in soil then any other media.

Absolutely. No question.

Coco is clean of bugs, and there is nothing to attract them.

i think ima do a coco grow with mega crop nutrients.. a friend will be gifting me a few gorilla glue seeds.. should i start in rockwool or anything special ive never grown with coco or had a successful grow yet,,

Indoors that’s a big yes, outdoors...organically possible. I am pro coco/perlite

thinking about going with 2 gallon pots into 10 gallon pots cause i need to be able to move my pots around for now and ill transplant when needed and keep it more permanent.

I would suggest going coco first and work into dwc . Trust me dwc is a monster of its own and it will defeat you if your not ready for it . There is so many other factor you have to control and this will cost you some money. I love my dwc but it I also cost me close to 1000$ just to start it up and there is still things I could use to make it easier.
