Do clones inherit the apical tendencies of the mother plant?

I am not 100% sure the mother of this (1 of several) clone was topped. Will I have to top it regardless? Based on the attached photo does this appear to have come from a topped plant? Thoughts?

I may be wrong but I am not sure what topping has to do with passing traits on to the clones. I understood it is basically the same plant as the mother and topping is simply a way to train a plant.

You are correct JohnEmad a Clone off the Mother Plant does not automagiclly get Topped just because the Mother Plant was topped. And I believe (I could be wrong) the Clone takes on the same timeline as the Mother Plant. (If what think IS true - the Clone will start to Flower the same Time as the Mother Plant that's already been growing.

Someone 'in-the-know' chime in if this is correct, or not.

The question really isn't "does it get topped because the mother was or was not topped" as much as do I still have to top it regardless of whether or not the mother plant was topped.

I would also think that regardless of the vegetating or flowering state of the mother plant the clones won't flower until 12-12. Assuming the clones were taken during the vegetating stage.
Also, while I'm on the subject of clones let it be known that I am exhaling into my "clone dome". As silly as my wife thinks it may be or look.

smoorman maybe I’m too high or maybe this thread got really confusing really quickly but it sounds like you are asking if you “have” to top the clone because the mother was topped, in which case the answer would be no, you never have to top a plant. The clone will grow out with its own apical dominance unless it is topped.

The only trait I've noticed on clones I make is that they will sometimes switch from dicot branching to alternate branching. Other than that I don't get any changes so I train them as I would normally do.
