Dark Harvest GROW CHALLENGE!

Pictures after repot. They got fat and staying squatty the way I like em. Noticeable difference from yesterday's repot, no signs of shock. And my sickly ones look much better today. Working on third node and leaflets are getting fat.

They will have one more day under cfls before I turn on the mh. Thinking of keeping the full spectrum light on in there while the mh is on. If temps can stay cool with the mh on the full spectrum doesn't get hot at all. I have it inches from the plants and my hygrometer reads 74.5f same as room temp. Humidity is a little lower then I'd like but we got some rain coming today so it's likely to go up a bit. It's cooling off and think we're going to have a cold winter ahead.

Haven't turned the active intake on. My exhaust is on mid speed and sucking in my tent walls and I'm glad I upgraded 😉. Happy growing all.

Thank you 💘. It's too bad I have to work today 😉. Would love to put back a couple cold ones and smoke myself silly. Maybe even pick up my reflector that I'm supposed to get for my shop...big china man cap. Haha just another day of peace without worrying about how many tables we turn tonight 😆. ✌ 💘...hugs.

yeah when i found out it was around 4.5 i checked how bad it was and its really far on the acidic side i outgha look into checking it out with a test or something i dont drink it but ya know i bathe and everything else with it.. im also on the gulf coast
 
The rusty color is likely caused by iron. Not 100%. But iron oxidizes and turns that rusty color especially when you have a faucet you don’t use regular. The water comes up from the well, sits in the pipe and oxidizes. I had well water that would come out orange and read between 7.5-7.7. Usually 7.6 but it had some variance.
 
Have you thought of having your soil tested?
I've seen tests online through buldasoil.com and some other places. When I blend a soil I would like to test it to know where I stand. At least it sounds good anyway 😃.
 
My mix tested around 7 pH with a cheap 3 prong push in and a chemical pH test kit. Chemical was a little higher, prong a little lower. I added 1 cup iron-tone which is iron sulfate and elemental sulfur. Plus 2 cups soil acidifier, both espoma. A little peat for some quicker down, hopefully.
Haha OJH, it's a little off. I'd wait until it's a better mix.😉
 
Sounds good... I think the peat will help for sure with the soil acidifiers.7 is neutral so that's a good start. I'm assuming you're going to test again after that stuff breaks down. I'm still not too sure what ph should be with soil and coco. But with a majority of it being coco that's how I would target ph, with it being between 5.5 and 6.5.
 
Yes I will test again. I'm not sure either, flying blind. A few thing I know I would do different already after some reading today....which I should have done before, at least more of it.
 
I would think that if your growing in soil with added coco you should go with the 6.5 to 7 ph .You are not planning on giving them nutes right , so that makes soil the #1 substrate ,coco is just a filler . IDK but thats my two cents lol
