haha I was think what kind of snake is red before I enlarged it and saw the rattler , that would definitely be a wtf moment

Yeah, for sure I had just walked between it and the hose without seeing it. Saw it on my way back. It was a good day for them to be out and I had been looking foe them all day. By evening I was not being so careful and there it was. Don't let your guard down for a moment on a good day for snakes.

Can be very very deadly. Those that dont die usually wish they did. Rattles are some mean sons of bitches. Not like a cotton mouth that will come after you. Rattlers wont go out of their way to bite you. We used to eat them alot but they are becoming a bit more rare due to over killing.

PaganRich, Mate you got some Vipars over there where you live, that will tear a rattlesnakes ass, up.
Cottonmouths are mean as hell, they just keep popping your ass, with those fangs.But you can smell them, on a good day, they stink, worse than a dead fish.
Only good snake in my book is a Kingsnake, and even they will make you sh-t on yourself, if you step on one, coming out of the woods at
night.
Ps, more people die from waspbites, every year than snakebites. They will make you sick as hell though, when I was 8-9years old I got bite by a rattlesnake pilot, And had to stay in an oxygen tent for 3days,

D.A.A.S.69 Not wanting to sound alarmist D but what snake have we got that can take a rattlers ass, which sounds painful by the way

I'm talking about those Adders, they are bad poisonous, But like over here very rarely does anyone die from a bite.
Where I live damn near everything tastes like yard bird. But I'd have to be hungry as a mfer, to eat a snake,I hope that day don't ever come.

Kingsnakes (or cornsnakes) are badass. We have one in the house, somewhere. I caught it about 8 or 10 years ago. Put it in an aquarium with a screened top, went to get 1/2 a brick to hold the top down & when I returned? Snake gone. So, for the last 8 - 10 years I've been finding little balls of mouse-bones & fur in the basement. Haven't seen the snake but I know he's still down there because I found his discarded winter clothes on the mud sill in March.

Redwasp, You are right , Kingsnakes, are badass,We always had chickens growing up, and many times when I would go in the coop, to gather the eggs, and run my hands thru their nests, a Kingsnake, would be in the nest, that will scare you.
But we don't harm Kingsnakes,
