Just got six plants going. all are about 8" tall and are looking great. big healthy leaves and new growth every day. Except the Cookie Wreck. It was looking great after transplanting a week ago but now seems to be in a bad way. I think I placed the rapid rooter too far into the coco and watered it too close to the stem so the rooter held too much moisture, or something. couldn't figure out why this plant was looking so droopy when the others were doing so well_I tried remedies for over and under watering but nothing worked. Then when i went to trim the first few nodes from the bottom and it just fell over on its side! total bummer. But when I stood it back up the rooter came apart a bit and I could see that the stem was only about half the diameter of the stalk above ground. Seems that the plant above ground was not getting enough water to replenish what it needed to stay healthy. I peeled the rooter back as far as I dared and put some very dry coco down into the split around the base of the stem and then sprayed around it with Serenade_ couldn't find a more organic fungus control unfortunately. I'll post reply in a few days to let folks in on how this works out but am very open to any suggestions anyone might have....? Also am very concerned weather or not this fungus can be spread by air or just by physical contact? Or should I just pull this plant to be safe? Thanks for any words of wisdom!
