Curing when on vacation

Yep. I'm already flushing, Tika! I know where to get the paper bags already and I'm really thinking about either wet trim and hang them up with stems or do this with them inside the paper bags as Sockfilter described. Any method that slows it down a bit will be considered for such experiment!!

I've thought a lot about my drying procedure and came up with an idea that's probably better than any other before. I have an AC in my room, it's kinda old but it works well. Last week I've tested with an hygrometer and the temps dropped to 70-75F and RH went 50-55% for one night. I was wondering if I could let my AC running for a week while I'm away and use my room for drying my buds, went online and people never let you down, there's no problem about it. It's probably not like this for me since my AC is old and may not work well but I guess it's a really safer method than drying nugs with hot and humid conditions. I've just received a six layer dry rack and I know that wet trimming and removing stems get the drying done faster, so I don't know if with optimal conditions I should try the rack or just wet trim and leave the stems.
The only problem would be the smell of my grass. The apartments here are kinda close together and it could flood the neighbour with a potent smell.
Maybe I'll give it a try anyway.

Im pretty sure that 50-55 RH for a week with air movement would over dry the buds. Would be nice if you could get the air conditioner to run so it keeps the room at 55-65 RH with air movement. A drying rack should work at 50-55 RH in 4-6 days which is a little fast but you said your concerned about smell so that may not be an option cause it will smell..

Yea, I was thinking about it... I'm concerned about over drying them since I won't be here. Maybe I'll put my tent inside my room with the AC running... Maybe I'll leave the nugs with stems and hang them in my wardrobe and maybe I'll just. I don't have anywhere inside my room to exhaust the smell from outside my tent. If I go for the tent (there's a carbon filter) inside my room with AC I'll have to think of a way to exhaust the air to outside. That'd be tricky.... If I do this I'll probably have to DIY a good method, leave the door kinda open with the duct blowing the air outside and something to cover up the leaks and stuff.

Do whatever you think is best, then you will know better next time. That's how you learn, they are hardly ever perfect anyway. Good Luck

You have heaps of info to work with, over drying is not the best, however far better than wet moldy flower when you get home.It will get SMELLY in there for sure, if you have a carbon filter, why not run 24/7 in the room along with the A/C, better than nothing. Yes it is a learning curve. I have said it a million times, think about each scenario and go with the one you has the BEST possible outcome IF EVERYTHING goes to shit while you are gone. I could live with over dried flower, however not wet moldy funk..:)

Good Luck and will be awaiting to hear how it works out.
