COOKIES & BUTTER

This may seem like a silly question, but I was given a nice batch of trim, which I've food processed into a bowl of powder. I have a Marijuana cookbook and it says to use 4oz trim per pound of butter. My question is the 4oz in weight or volume? 4oz measured in a liquid measuring cup isn't very much trim and I don't think I have 4oz of weight with the trim. I haven't measured yet, so can't be sure, but when these recipes call for 3-4oz of trim, are they referring to weight?
 
I go by weight. If the trim is not too trichome rich I would cut butterto2/3rds. Next time don't go to powder, crunch if dry or one pulse on the Cusinart. my opinion only. Keep us posted on turn out😊 please!
