Cloudy Balls

Hey
there are several people harvesting now or soon to harvest in the next two weeks. I am one of them..scope of 3 weeks 4 strains all indica
i would appreciate input on wether Cloudy ( opaque), Balls @ what percentage is the initial determination to harvest for most psychoactive results.
this could mean harvesting a lot earlier than breeder's recomenation..like several weeks.
So are cloudy Balls the point of departure
does the forum of experienced growers not worry about pistils on mature late bloom flowers?

also hope harvesting peeps post a whole bunch of images. When I get there I plan to

AND wishing all of you a fine holiday for you and yours
a huge hug to YOU Little..you are thanksgiving every day.

I need to get a USB microscope...

Cloudy is key.

I think the objective is to have the maximum number of cloudy trichomes with a few just starting to amber. This ensures maximum maturity with negligible degradation of the trichomes. Some prefer slightly sooner/later.

However, I have found that the top of the plant matures faster than the lower half. So, I think it's important to use the law of averages if you plan on harvesting the whole plant at once. I find the trichomes halfway up the plant are usually the happy medium.

Also it's normal for the top of the canopy to continue to throw white pistils even though it's in the harvest window. The buds at that halfway point, once again, are usually your indicator as the pistils darken and curl in like a mature bud should.

If I see..any amber on the bud itself...not leaves ...she dies
I wait till almost all clear are cloudy...again any Amber no matter how much clear...she dies...whole plant..I enjoy the different levels of high psychoactive activity...I got no problem deep couch sitting as it is!

Enjoy...

Hi Tika (Happy T-day

Just with a loupe I could see cloudy, and Nebula was right the clear look like glass it's brighter and the cloudy is a plastic it's dull. (I think one of your plants let it go amber and that would be the tincture test!) LOL

Im going to roll with Green here- only because its truly what only a grower can achieve- and what a dispensary might give you by accident. Nobody is going to pull a plant early- if it goes another week and adds 10-15% weight, thats a huge profit. So only micro growers or home growers can dial into exactly what they want and what they are looking for. In fact you can cut a few branches down at any point and hang em to dry.

But with that said, im looking to personally maximize the power of the high. I would like to smoke something that makes me back off because its so damn good. So perhaps a proper loupe (as most have something that we are using) and knowing what you are looking for out of the plant is key.

Im super lucky to have one auto going and started another a week or so later... so shes behind by 10 days. The late stage development looks the same until shit starts to tail off quickly. White pistols are no longer shooting up. The tips start to turn brown or red, then they will become brown or red... one plant is genetically going to be a larger bounty - I can see that now- but the trichs now are just starting to get cloudy.

The older plant is shutting down however still lots of green and no yellowing around the buds on the top ( that dont mean shit though right! - cloudy trichs only we are looking for)
Her pistils are turning in. Her buds are closing up sort of and curling in sort of. . her trichs are nice- and just a few remaining clears before chop time.

Inspected her this morning - shes looking good- my better loupe comes friday..... can I hold out????? I hope so. Ive got nothing to do on Thanksgiving. not a single do it yourself project available...

Happy T day to u 2 Karlee!
im pretty clear on cloudy Balls and amber. I climb all over my plants with a loupe. Yes Nebula's GWE harvest articles I have climbed over plenty in the last 2 years. My temporary confusion has to do with the LEDs ( this is my second grow with them) and wanted to confirm cloudy trichomes being the launch pad. RoyalNugs mid- branch observation is a good point and I am with Green...no amber if I can help it LOL. Indicas put me on the couch anyway..sativas are my go bunny choice as in today need to feed my plants 2.5 hrs), bathe & groom 3 dogs, clean house, & clean up after our grand rain for weekend guests tomorrow..Jock Horror day!
HOPE YOU HAVE A GRAND ONE :)

Is that a 7 foot colla or what????
Nice images as always Green
Heading to sink again for another feeding session
Here we go loupe de Lou :)

Yep...that is my plan. Like the mid-section advise.
Am seeking a microscope that is compatible with iPad one day
Thanks again Royal :)

We have company too- a golden doodle, a terrier of some sort, another purebred vising the corral- 7 dogs for the weekend. K9-Kamp
