Cannacap dosages for cbd?

Seems that a lot of us are on a mission to learn about decarb/edibles/ tinctures/caps, etc...whether it is a winter thing or whatever I don't know.

In my searching I found this site: https://beyondchronic.com/2015/11/ohs-law-of-cannabis-edible-potency/ Not a long article but it finally gave me what I needed on that topic. I was getting all numbed up trying to convert ounce to grams to milligrams and back and forth. This just gave me the formula I needed to get a start. Of course our own thinking comes into play as to what the outcome will be. Guess too low on strength and really get hammered on a cap or overestimate and need to take too many.

But, what I'm not sure of in a generic kind of "I really don't know" way is CBD and dosing. I know if I make a thc cap and it's supposed to be about 5mg each I'd start with three (based on the 10mg is a dose theory) wait and augment or coast as needed. With the cbd caps you don't normally have much of a thc effect so how do you know what amount is good? Or what is the potency you shoot for per cap? Why?

I'm going to decarb a bunch tomorrow. Both thc and cbd plants. I'll make some firecrackers and consume some and freeze some. Gonna make coconut caps infused with the thc and some with cbd. Thinking if I can get doses figured I'd like to do a blend for the best of both worlds.

But some insight into cbd dosages first and I'll go get busy in the kitchen.
 
I wish i knew about all that new stuff, but I don't know nothin about it,
alltatup knows a bunch, though.
I wish i knew how to put thc, in a capsule, to just swallow, and not have to smoke or vape, but we like to smoke an vape, but my state ain't legal, so capsules would come in handy very often, around here.
 
True That! I'm in a decriminalized state. I think that's lawyer speak for illegal. Supposed to get full legal last year and at the last minute all the little towns and counties started whining about revenue and stuff. Then they couldn't figure out traffic stops and such. Geeze. Do they think for a moment that the guy they pulled over at 3am for driving too slow on the interstate was just drunk? I'd hazard a guess that many are buzzed and boozed. So they're already dealing with the issue even if they don't acknowledge it.

I'm sure they'll mess it up or just keep stalling until it doesn't matter. If they don't allow home cultivation in some form and bend over to big pharma/weed then we all lost.
 
I hear you man, I live in Ms. If they legalize it in the whole USA, Ms. Will be the only state that never will. I hate that too, cause we got good folks down here,
The law thinks it's as bad as heroin, down here, no bs.

D.A.A.S.69 I'm afraid you're mistaken my friend: MS will legalize and SC will be the only state that won't!!!

Nah: it will be legal everywhere soon. It's inevitable.

Its references and resources are impeccable, everything backed up by scientific research.

A person I really trust: Corinne of Wake and Bake: https://wakeandbake.co/cbd-dosing/ I think this woman is a true genius who really knows her stuff.

As with any kind of Cannabis medicine, START LOW AND GO SLOW. It really does take some patience to find which dosage of this strain or that one works best for you. This is one thing I love about Cannabis: everyone has to take full responsibility for doing things responsibly and doing research. It's not one size fits all.

I personally don't want anything to do with commercial CBD oil made from hemp plants, and tend to see that aspect of the CBD craze as "snake oil": CBD from Cannabis plants works best in synergy with other cannabinoids and terpenes. You know that you can grow a very low THC strain with high CBD and take advantage of all the chemicals together.

So read up at Project CBD, and share your experiments with us!!!

Many of the cbd products out now do not even decarboxylate the cannabis when they make the oils. It still is healthy but it wont give you the same benefits.

If you have access buy cbd flower and make your own or just smoke or vap the flower. Better yet just grow your own. Where I live all the products in the stores are by local growers who will be more than happy to meet you and take you around their farm and processing facilities. Then just buy straight from the source.
 
Of course, each individual has to determine what the right dosage is for their condition as well as for their constitution. That's what makes Cannabis a Different-Sizes-Fit-Different-People drug.

My research has led me to conclude:

For CBD to perform well as medicine, it needs more than .3% THC, which is what the legal maximum is set at now. CBD will perform best in concert with all the terpenes and the THC. I'm about to grow some Garden of Green strains with high THC and high CBD: I'm super excited to try a genotype with around 20% of both cannabinoids!!!

But I also think that a 1:1 ratio at lower doses will work better for some things and some people. I just love my THC too much (which is impossible).

But it would be fun to have a group of people at a week-long THC/CBD workshop where on each day, we'd try different combinations like this:

Mon: Candida THC 1/%, CBD 10-20%
Tue: CBD Critical Mass THC 5%, CBD 5%
Wed: Euphoria CBD THC 9%, CBD 10%
Thu: LA SAGE CBD THC 10-15%, CBD 5%
Fri: Kush n Cookies CBD THC 23%, CBD 19%
Sat: Kosher Kush THC 27%, CBD 7%

Wouldn't that be fun?

The fact that you need to back cbd up with thc I'll attest to. Both together are miracle workers. On their own they are just recreational In my opinion
 
CBD isn't recreational; it's not psychoactive, it doesn't get you high. Your language may confuse some people.
