Tika I caught the sun going down over the pass and I was happy to have caught what I did ...nothing like your shot but this one is special to me. And I'm making butter this next harvest. :p

I love cannabudder!! My girlfriend is the cook/baker and does budder, oils, and tincture for all of her infused goods. In the pic there are a few bags of chocolate chip brownie brittle and a bowl of watermelon hard candy. I think it was OG Kush that she used.

I love edibles, such a great long lasting buzz
 
Would love to hear how she does it. I am always seeking to improve on tinctures esp.

I generally do 1.5 to 2 oz cannabis to 1 + a little more pound unsalted butter. Also use water in crock to monitor crock. Doesn't effect the budder at all.

Omega, is that the one stick butter maker? Advertised as a herb butter infuser? I almost bought one from eBay, but wasn't sure how well it worked since all the budder recipes I've read call for you to cook the butter for a long time. I've love some feedback on the machine.

Also, I'd love a recipe for hard candy. I really want to make lollipops, but just regular hard candy to suck on would be okay too.
 
The machine is a set it and forget it type deal. It does take a long time, however it doesn't require you to do anything but decarb and add ingredients. The company themselves recommend only buying from them, they have counterfeit/knockoff units on ebay and amazon and won't cover warranty unless its a direct buy. She uses 1oz decarbed, 1lb unsalted butter, and 2Tbsp Lecithin. The unit says 1/4-1/2oz of botanicals per cup, 2-5 cups unsalted butter, 1 Tbsp lecithin per cup. (2cups min. - 5cups max cap). Since she is just getting into edibles, she finds a regular recipe she likes and substitute the original ingredient with the infused one. So if it calls for Butter add infused butter, if it calls for cooking oil and infused oil (coconut, olive, avocado, sunflower, grapeseed, peanut, and more). Another good thing about the unit is that tincture can be made in hrs instead of months. She uses it as an adder to recipes were there isn't really a substitute for an ingredient. Since I'm growing now, we will have a lot more resources to try new things. I will keep posted as we use it.
