So the PH pens need calibration every so often. My $20 pen falls off by approx .1 per year. So that’s low maintenance there. You have to wash it with deionized water after each use before storing it. Then you have to store it in a solution. Can’t let the bulb dry out. That’s the only trick to make them accurate for years.
I still use both a pen and drops at the same time every once in awhile. Making sure your right never hurts. Guess it's almost like my Grandfather used to say "measure twice and cut once."
