Autos.

You can use 24/0 during the veg stage and then switch to 20/4 after about 3 weeks.
Alternate would be 20/4 for the complete grow.

thanks mate. they have been on a 18/6 schedule for a couple of weeks now so im not sure if i should change it now.
or should I?

You can change it. The more light the higher the yield. However at some point the extra electricity cost makes longer light schedules less frugal. But its up to you and if you want lower electricity or higher yields.

thanks guys.. im running a 450w LED that takes 215w from the wall, so i might up it to 20/4 and see what happens ... they are actually 3 weeks 2 days from popping there heads up now and still no sine of budding. My reservoir will need changing in a few days and i dont want to wast time and money refilling it with grow nutrients. if still not budding in a few days would it be safe to refill with the bloom mix?
lastly whats your opinion on hydro guard?

I ran my autos 24/0 until they were near harvest, at this time I cut the lights to 18/6 and the aroma picked up greatly. I had read they need a sleep cycle to make more smells, and it did. Toward the end they went to 14.5/9.5 as I had young photos/clones in the room, then to 12/12s and are now on 14/10 (they will stay in flower), but most of this was for the spring summer photos, with only 1 auto left. I use organic soil, and have not yet done hydro,,

I'm not hydro i'm a soil gal. Ran my autos 20-4 from seedling to first sign of preflower then 18/6 during flower. Goodluck

In soil at least, you run the grow formula into the first 2 weeks of flower - that is when a plant expands (the stretch) its roots and stems to support the oncoming buds and you want to feed that!
