Will transplant into 5gallon smart pots as soon as flowering tent finishes (having a hard time waiting, especially since bubble bags have arrived!). But that's just cutting solo cups off and repotting. You asked about it before Tika, when I separate, root mass is as clean as I can get it. Then I repack soil ( or in this case, soilless medium) around tap root and root mass. Gently gently! Been doing it with tomato for years, might not achieve same results, but we'll see.
