Nodes are counted from bottom up..with the one above the cotyledons being the first one..topping to the third means I kept the third node...and also removed the first and second nodes as well
I feed two times then water with calmag and sturdy stalk..then feed two times and water with calmag and sturdy stalk..and so on..I feed full strength at all times...if I get nute burn I don't care at all..Just adjust feeding to once then water...and so on
Also Gears, there is a feeding schedule that Nebula did for coco. It's on the site some where. If I can find it I will post a link. http://www.growweedeasy.com/coco-coir
Thanks, Green. So you are breaking all the "rules" then.
My first attempts were epic fails. Among other things, I didn't add any nutes for about 8-10 days after breaking through the coco. Even then, I was using 1/2 strength maximum. I confess that I took the warnings about too much light, too much water and too many nutes too early way too seriously. That's a whole lot of too's.
On my second attempt, I stepped up the nutes (still being conservative) and added additional CFL's besides just my LED. They look a lot better. Still nowhere near as great as yours though. I'm now trying full strength but only adding small amounts so I can watch for adverse reactions. If they look okay, I'll give more. Sounds like that's sort of what you're suggesting.
I planted a Northern Lights auto this AM with lightly pre-charged coco. I'm going to go a lot heavier on the nutes and lights this time.
I'm dumbfounded by the thickness of the stems in your videos. They look like bloody trees compared to my spindly little things!
Thanks so much for the help. Your grows are inspiring.
Thanks Sonnyhad That's pretty well the feeding schedule I used the first time. Except I waited a little too long to start and I may have diluted the first week a tad more than that. I never recovered from that.
To add to my issues, I was following my LED maker's suggestion about distance from seedlings. Way too conservative. I now use CFL's close to them to get them up and running. It's working far better.
Yes she is GEORGEOUS ! PLUMP! Seems like all your plants are getting more plump- consistently distributed collas and all the same damned size!!!!! I am green with envy. Great show Greenie. I know it takes a lot of energy & time to video- I really appreciate that you make these huge efforts and share them
Awesome journal and result. This is my go to thread for my current grow. I was planning on a DWC photo to start but I got an itch from these great journals and I started a coco auto grow.
