Are my plants going to Flower (or not)?

My plants have been on 12/12 for 3 weeks and I still don't see any White Pistols coming out? I don't believe I've had any Light Leaks. (The Bud Sites are getting Thicker (New Leaves) but No White Pistols yet?)

How long should I Wait for some "Action"?

Also, is it OK for light to escape my grow tent? (My plants are wide from LSTing and I've been leaving the swinging doors on my cabinet partial ally open to keep them from Rubbing up against the branches.

I usually see pistols within a week or two. Have they stretched at all? Do you have a light of any kind (power strip ect) in the tent? Are you sure you have no light leaks? even a pinhole or zipper leak can cause issues sometimes. Im not sure i follow the open cabinet thing. Are they in a tent inside a cabinet or just inside a cabinet and you leave it open 24/7? My guess is they are not getting complete darkness for 12 hrs at least. Pictures would help if you can do so.
 
Yes, they have stretched quite a bit. They are just in a cabinet, no grow tent.

Sorry not able to post pics yet - working on that.

Something ain't right, your getting light from somewhere.
Sometimes you see pistils 3-4 days after switching 12-12, a week maybe.
Can you get a picture of the preflowers?
 
somethings not right, a flower with no trichomes? you either got a male or a bad case of brad mites. you hapen to have a picture?
 
I now think my Hot water Heater (very small) Light may be the culprit! :-( I put a piece of cardboard over my Dehumidifier light b4 I switched to 12/12, but forgot about the Hot Water heater light - Doh!

I'm so flabbergasted - this will be the 2nd grow I've wasted several months on. I'm going to grow some Autos next and hope I can get some meds.

I've had light leaks and plants not flower so i feel your pain. Autos are great for not having to worry about it. Good luck man!
 
Oh i forgot about that! I had that happen. Had a cheap mechanical timer that had a design flaw so it would get stuck on. Tossed that mofo away and got a better designed one and havent had problems since!
