Week 4 of flower and I know what's coming... waiting, watching, waiting...
Still trying to figure what fan leaves and suckers to remove and when. Trying not to make same mistake that I did last grow with defoliating. I know I should have removed lower suckers on this plant but I just couldn't do it, hoping they would make it to top of canopy. Still not sure how high up on colas to remove fan leaves. Man this is fun!

LOL PuravidaC...it seems you can still loose some fan leaves. I pluck the purple stem ones- esp ones with long stems. Get some air into lower & middle space.
Did you read the defol article in GWE newsletter this last Sunday?

Hi Tika, yes I read this week's news letter and also saw your comment about defloration at the RIGHT time. 😆 I removed a few leaves this morning and was looking hard at fan leaves with purple stems but left them for now. That will change shortly! Still not sure how many leaves to leave on each cola. I know what Green would say but I'm not that brave!!! 😂

I was heavy handed on defoliating last grow and caused too much stress late in flower. Don't want to repeat but do want fat colas! Decisions... decisions!

I keep thinking that fan leaves around outer edge of plant that don't block any light to bud sites must still be helping plant. If or when they divert energy from buds is still a question in my mind.

I cut about 1/2 pound of leaves (mabey not that much)last night off three plants flowering for 3 weeks wed this week. Checked plants this morning you couldn't even tell expect for all the bud sites that now have see the light. Will post pictures tonight. This picture is from last week.

Is that grow on here? I'd like to look at it. I think I was just softly heavy handed with mine late in flowering.

What I mean by "heavy handed" was just that... I jumped in with both hands pushing colas aside to get at the leaves I wanted to remove, then I noticed how sticky my hands were... oh shit!! I know, I know. She didn't like the rough handling and trichomes started turning amber 5 or 6 weeks early. Buds were airy and buzz didn't last long. Luckily I have stash from other grows and another lesson learned!!

That was the timing I defoliated this grow too. Just before light switch and again 3 weeks later. I didn't want to stress her during initial strech. Some on here wack away but I'm just not that brave... yet! 😆

P...I am not in Anyway sure about what I am doing when I defol. Just seek light and air for lower buds . Thus far here is no manifestation of " un-good". There are still leaves other than sugar leaves- that continue to grow for photosynthesis...so that is my premise along with removing what is taking grow power away from the buds and I still kinda suck at that.

hey Puraviac I just did the week three defoliation .read the news letter and had at it ,I thought in the letter she explains that cutting at week 3 opens it all up and then leaves will grow back ,then she doesn't do any more defoliation unless a leaf is blocking light from a bud site. I would at least trim inside so light gets to the bottom of the plant . in the first pic I had just trimmed and Nebula asked if I was going to defoliate, the second is after I read the weekly letter ,its been a few days and they are looking good
