Okay. The GH got the remaining 1/4 gallon of water, but I also added 1/4 tsp Fulvic acid to the water. I mixed up a new batch of water. This time I lowered the pH to 6.0. I noticed that it creeps up in the gallons. So the last 1/4 was almost at 6.4 pH. Which is nice TBH. Rather than me tweaking the pH Everytime I water, it's kinda doing it by itself. That's good. I'll get the full range nutrients and it shows. As she gets bigger, she's looking healthier and healthier. So far I'm very pleased with the GH this go around. I might have a lovely lovely plant.

The 2 earth boxes got 2L of water in the reservoir. The Grow Dots got 1/4tsp recharge and the living soil got the Soil Revival also at 1/4 tsp per 2L.

I did notice the Grow Dots side perked up after the addition of recharge. Same with the GH side. I added the fulvic acid and in 24 hours it perked up. There's certainly something to this Fulvic/humic acid 👍

A mix week update because things are always the most interesting during veg.

Look at these babies go!!!! The Living Soil box is KILLING it like always. The Grape Caper and the Sour Orange are looking amazing!! Love everything I see.

The GH is really surprising me. I remember distinctly the last time when I cloned my father's weed plant, I tried using GH Trio in Coco/perlite mix and for a month she literally did NOTHING. ZERO growth. It wasn't until I added some compost that's she finally started to grow.
This cross on the other hand has me very happy. She's growing very well in the Coco with the mineral salts. So far, smooth sailing. Just the way I like it. I bumped the nutrients to 1.18 EC. I just fill the base and let her drink as she needs.

The grow dots side is a bit meh. It's probably not the grow dots tbh. The plants look healthy so I'm like 90% sure it's the crappy genetics. HUGE difference between the tents and the ones in the living soil are only a week older, so it's gotta be the genetics. Sucks I couldn't grow something better in here. 🤷‍♂️. I top watered some recharge again this week. Let's see if it helps because the top soil was really dry for some reason. Not sure why it's not wicking. That could have something to do with the overall performance.

I'm growing some lions Mane and blue oysters and got the Cannatrol organized. Took some teaser videos of the buds. Tomorrow I need to work on that grow dots vs GH vs NLS video. It's been 2 weeks into the grow. I sound get out posted within the week. This way I can have the videos 2-3 weeks behind the grow.

So far so good. Can't believe it's been 3 weeks already. Soon I'll be flipping to flower. Man time flies... Then I'll be bored for 2 months until it's go time. 😅. I'm having fun. And growing my own medicine is so rewarding.

I need to figure out the focus. Auto focus takes too long to focus, other times it gets confused and thinks I'm just looking at some blurry background. Still plenty experimenting to do but getting better slowly.

Curious why she only has 3 pointed leaves. Even New leaves are all growing 3 points. I know it means something...I just didn't remember what..... Beginnings of nitrogen toxicity? Calcium can't keep up with nitrogen push? I think... She looks healthy but why is she not growing more pointed leaves? Bluey whatcha think? I've had this happen with a Tangle that was in extra nitrogen rich soil and just grew 3 pointed leaves everywhere.

But I'd like to just say mutation. I've had it. You also have some crinkly, misshapen leaves right about the middle.

See but this is a clone of a plant that I've grown out before and it had regular leaves. Would it have gotten the mutation due to stress? I wonder how that would influence flavor overall? 🤔

I can't tell you from stress and can only suspect it is not n-tox because of the leaf color. And I can't tell you what stress can do to a clone.
I can only tell you I've had it on single plants in a grow, probably twice. Never gave it much thought. Leaves have been the majority of mutations I've had. When I get mutated leaves, I just watch.
Growing four of the same strain in a tent and combining the lot in one glob of resin doesn't make me a good judge of altered flavor. It'll still be dope. As long as it's still dope, I don't need to know much else.

No it wasn't a re veg. I'm just curious why since the last run it didn't have 3 pointed leaves. I'm still gonna get it grow out either way. I'm just curious why and what happened.

Bluey The plant itself looks healthy. Growing well and everything. No problems there.... The stems are a bit thin and soft, but aside from that, she's healthy. I'm just really curious why she went from having the normal 5- 7 leaf configuration and now the only leaves that have 5 points are the ones she had as a clone. I'm also noticing some hooked tips on a few leaves. I only got 10 days before I flip (or maybe I'll do what I did last time and just subtract an hour every 2 days). I just want to make sure everything is fine. She certainly looks very healthy and that makes me super happy because I failed in the past using liquid nutrients. Is it maybe because it's a clone of a clone of a clone of a clone? Just interesting

It's certainly the genetics 😞 10 days until flip.

Perfect comparison, not only fertilizers, but also genetics. Look at the 2x4. The Purple Caper and Super Natural Seeds are on 🔥🔥. The Birthday Cake and Purple Punch are looking good but just not growing.
The grow dots are clearly giving them nutrition. They look really nice and strong. I did a little LST training on them...... As much as I could. I also lifted the lights to encourage them to stretch a bit. It's 10 days away from flip and they look like they're only on week 2 of growth. I wish I had picked different genetics 😞
I've had so many issues with Blimburn, I didn't even want to grow them anymore, but I don't have much variety for the good genetics. The b/w label seeds are also hit and miss.
Not sure why they are so short. They got topped at the 4th node but they didn't stretch and the side branching is so poor and slow.

The 2x4 is growing with gas. Even under the cover there's mushrooms growing. Big patches of mycelium growing on top. It just looks amazing. The most alive soil in a bit and you can see by the plants, they're loving it. Even my cross in the 2x4 is surprising me. If it goes well, I might grow some more plants with the liquid nutrients. The sub irrigating is tolerable. I'm not doing dry backs so the EC should be fairly stable.

I've only cloned a cloned once, no issues.

Liquid nutes, well too much of that can cause stress and resultant mutations, especially early on.

Reversing clones can produce weird looking stuff but if you give it enough veg time and trim them up nicely they seem to settle back into normal growth and take on a pretty normal growth. Breaking the apial growth of clones of clones can get a bit more messy and take a few goes especially if you're new to it but it'll work and you should end up with a pretty productive plant.

Oh yeah we got four pointed leaves and we got five pointed leaves!!! She's back to looking like her normal self. And man is she a bushy girl. So happy with how she's doing with the mineral salts I'm proud of myself too that this time I didn't nearly kill the plant 😅 huzzah's all around!

I guess it just took a little time for her to adjust to the new environment and whatnot but man she's looking healthy.

Speaking of healthy look at how healthy the soil is. I literally have these giant plant pot dapperlings growing. So pretty and yellow. Not edible but you know that mycelium is breaking down nutrients for the plants regardless. The 2x4 is down to 16 hours. The 2x3 will get 18hrs until the 2x4 reaches 12hrs. Then I'll flip to 12hrs. I need them to catch up I can't have these tiny little plants. Especially if I'm trying to do summer growing this year.

Okay so the 2x4 tent DEFINITELY has realized something is up and started the stretch. We're at 14 hours light and they're going nuts with the stretching. Super interesting. Meanwhile I'm 2x3 land the plants got 18 hours of light. Blissfully unaware of their fate in 4 days when suddenly they'll only have 12 hours of light 😈
The experiment is working really well, I must say. Minus the lousy genetics in the 2x3, I'm surprised with my baby. Just gonna call her The Terpy for now 😅 she's getting HUGE and so bushy. I'm bumping up the nutrients to 1.4 EC

I snapped a branch on the grape caper, so I turned it into a clone. I only had one seed of this... What if I like it? I can't find the seeds anywhere.

The Venus fly trap opened one of its flowers. So pretty!! I guess I'm going to have to find more sacrifices for the traps because that's some pretty flowers. Worth the hassle with these fickle plants.

The 2x3 is finally caught up a bit. Jan 13 will be Day 30 of Veg since the transplant. I'm gonna top dress the NLS box and give everyone some microbes. Recharge for the dots and soil revival to the NLS side. While Terpy will get just plain fulvic acid in the reservoir along with the nutrient water.

So far so good. Can't believe it's flowering time already. Next 2 months will fly by just like this month did.

It's been a crazy few days!!

First up Defoliation. It's day 30 and time to flip to 12 hour lighting for all the plants. I took off the big fan leaves so all the nodes can be exposed to light. Along with LST, I should have a very nice canopy.

Second, I top dressed the NLS earth box. It got 1 cup of the original recipe and 1 cup castings. The 2x3 got some Recharge. And the Terpy got fulvic acid as well as another bump up to 1.8 EC. In 2 weeks, they're going to be just as full as they were

Third, when I was getting the castings and NLS, I had to move this bag with Coco in it and I saw it's colonized by those Plantpot Dapperling mushrooms with the really yellow mushroom. Even the mycelium is yellow. So cool. I gave it some water and closed it up again. I wanna see what happens

Forth, my Venus fly traps are blooming so nicely. More flowers opened. There's only 2 more buds left to open. Such a pretty plant.

Fifth, the ginger bug that I started is really coming along. There's a few yeast colonies growing in top. It's starting to get all fuzzy and fizzy. It's slow going because the temps are low but soon I'm going to have my own probiotic soda starter. I'll make all kinds of fruit sodas with probiotic benefits and without all the sugar is traditional soda.

Sixth, the liquid culture jars and bags of blue oysters and lions mane are ready to go into substrate. I have some Coco getting cooked and I have masters mix soaking. I'm going to make a Coco/vermiculite/gypsum/masters mix combo substrate for them. I need to get them out ASAP they're trying to escape the jars already 😂. The spores jars need another 2 weeks before they're ready and they fit a head start. Liquid culture really is fast.

I got so many projects going on. I also started my kombucha again. I'm making videos of ALL SIX of these activities. They're all going to end up on my YouTube channel. How to make Kombucha, How to make a Ginger Bug, How to make Homemade Ginger ale with Ginger Bug, How to Inoculate mushroom spawn, How to grow mushrooms, How to make substrate, and so much more. I have so much random knowledge because of the ADHD and my constant interest in EVERYTHING 😅. I want to share some of it and make some videos while learning all along the way.

Another busy week.
The stretch on these plants, especially the grape caper, is insane. It's been 2 weeks since I flipped and all the plants have gotten so huge! I'm going to have to do another defoliation VERY soon. I noticed the beginnings of flowers forming on all the plants, so I certainly need to clear up the leaves.

The plants are drinking 8 gallons of water every week😅 I've even been making double batches of the GH water to keep up that's why I have a 2x on the gallon. I've been bouncing around with the pH like Bluey recommended to do with great success.
The Terpy looks really healthy. Super bushy with so many colas. I did end up putting her on a bucket so that I can have a more even canopy across the board.

The Ginger bug is looking great! I'm going to make ginger ale this week with my ginger bug. My own probiotic homemade soda, not that trash in stores. It smells like ginger rum tbh 😂
