With that lighting and a better than 13gal/day dehumidifier I need around 4kw of cooling power with ambient around 18⁰C to maintain a flower room temp of about 22.5⁰C. It varies a little but not a lot. I have about 5kw of cooling power. I can't lower temps any more than that because the dehumidifier just shits itself and RH starts to rise fast. I don't think there is any advantage going any lower anyway and my sativas like it warmer in late flower than the more indica heavy strains...23⁰C & 38 to 40%RH seemed to be perfect for tight dense potent buds on my last grow...22 maybe a fraction too low and slowed growth too. The dehumidifier was running flat out non stop for about 7 weeks. Its expensive re electricity

Harvest Day for 1 out of 5 plants, The Grape Caper by Purple Caper Seeds .... The whole neighborhood smells of Grape gass candy. It was like super glue, I got over a gram of scissor hash from trimming maybe 65g. She's not a yielder but man is she Terpy AF. 🥰. Then there was 4.

I also planted the photo seeds today. I'll plant the autos directly into the pot while I'll transplant the photos. Time for bed. 🥱😴

It's deja vu.... It's supposed to be the freak variety with the funky leaves but instead it's growing normal leaves.
I swear this cultivar is cursed. 6 attempts and 12 seeds later and not a single viable plant. Either all males or not freak variety. These seeds were supposed to be feminized fruity freak.

Should I try one more seed or just give up and plant something else? I'm not crazy about the pineapple Express cultivar lineage. Gives me anxiety. So I wasn't growing this fruit freak for the smoke. I was mostly growing it for the mutation. Sighs

2 days left on the Grape Caper. I had some that scissor hash and 🤩 if you ever had Star Killer, man it reminded me of that but grape gummy worm edition. I might be reversing this clone to get more seeds of this.

The yield is absolutely pathetic. I'll be lucky if I have 50 g 😭😭 but that's 50g of some extra 🔥. I just wasn't expecting the crazy ass stretch. I would definitely scrog this one. It's made for a trellis net. Then I would get some great return. That would be the best way to go with this one.

The sour orange, purple punch, and the Terpy are all ready to get chopped up. I hope they fit in the Cannatrol 😅 .... See this is why I wanted to chop 2 plants but they just weren't ready 🤷‍♂️ Now I gotta do 3 big ones and it's gonna be tight

The birthday cake is taking us sweet time.... I'm actually surprised at the quantity there and it actually smells good now. Before it smelled horrible now it's got like vanilla, cake, minty-freshness about it..... Reminds me of wedding cake TBH and I'm not mad because I LOVE wedding Cake, but will I love Birthday Cake 🤔 that's the question I wanna find the answer to 😉

I went into work to set up my iPad and my boss smells the iPad and he's like "what's this smell like to you?" .......***I'm like fuuuuhhuuuuuuuuuu..... I don't smoke, I don't combust. The Grape Caper was SO POTENT even with the window open and a fan blowing out, it still got the case smelling like it.....boy all mighty, I'm telling you, I might have a unicorn. I wasn't kidding when a friend said he smelled it 2 blocks away😅 Sending out Terpenes Signals to the whole neighborhood 😂
I just need to be careful. That's some easily permeable plastic/rubber. I obviously can't use at work, what I do on my time is my business, but I need to separate my dank from my work stuff. What a blessing and a curse, same with the Cannatrol. I might need to buy a second one, I just don't have the space, especially not if I'm gonna expand to my max limit of 6 plants.

The Sour Orange smells like nasty kerosene orange. Never smelled anything like that before. It like wants to smell fruity but at the same time it smells like cleaner because of the strong gassy effervescence.

The Terpy smells like the classic blackberries and black pepper mix. She's a little gassy, I assume that will open up when I start trimming and it will be like the grape caper, extra gas release when trimming I have a strong suspicion that's going to happen because of the blue dream genetics. They do that, at least this particular cultivar I grew did.

The purple punch, tbh, has like no smell. You could touch the plant You could put your nose right up against it It just has like no smell. Just smells like green. But that's it. Looks super frosty and the buds are solid rocks. Each probably over 3.5g easy but just no smell. maybe all the smell will get released during the trim 🤔 or maybe it'll be tasteless IDK but it does look pretty.

Since I'm starting to run low on seeds, or lacking in variety tbh. All I have is like ethos because I bought 2x multi packs and got freebies. Since I have the job now I'll be able to actually buy genetics that I want to grow from breeders I've been wanting to try. Even some expensive ones like square one genetics, exotic genetics where they only sell 10pks for over $100.... Gonna try to get some of that Chill Out OG seeds from Mr Grow it. It's very indica heavy and the plant looks good. Good yield, big buds. Might be a good smoke for my needs. The price was always out of my reach, but now, maybe I'll splurge.

The Chop Party PT.2

On the chopping block today is the Sour Orange by Super Natural Seeds and my cross, The Terpy

The first two trays are the sour orange and the remaining four are all Terpy.

The sour orange wasn't very sticky but instead the trichomes are so big it literally felt and sounded like I was cutting through sand the whole entire time. The smell of the bud isn't particularly great I mean it's not bad but it smells like diesel mixed with kerosene and then somebody threw a bunch of oranges in there. The kerosene diesel part is definitely pungent and has a weird kind of smell to it but with the size of those trichomes I'm excited I can't wait to try it. It's definitely going to be a unique orange experience

Check out Tray number 3 that tray has huge massive buds each one is almost the size of my fist. Not only did the general hydroponics absolutely kill it but at the same time it was just as easy as my organic grow. Sure mixing the gallon of water every 2 days was a little annoying, but All I did was pour it into the base and let the plants subirrigate it. Easy. And the results speak for themselves The plant is huge there's probably 8 oz there. Not only that but it's covered in so much frost and the terpenes are just off the chart. Everything about this plant just blue away all the expectations that I had. And she's back for another grow in the next run. I'm going to see if those grow dots are worth anything by growing the Terpy. We've seen her in action with the organics we've seen her in action with the general hydroponics We know what she's capable of. Let's see if the grow dots could do the same.

Still have the purple punch, which still has absolutely no smell no matter how much I shake it or poke it or squeeze it it just doesn't smell like anything. Frosty looks beautiful it's going to take some amazing photos that's for sure but I'm just perplexed that the fact that there's no smell.

The Birthday Cake, What a weird start because at first I hated the way it smelled It smelled so bad. It smelled like off-brand floor cleaner. Now it reminds me of the way Wedding Cake smells. It's got like this cakey vanilla kind of smell that's overwhelmed by this like minty kind of fresh green tea kind of smell. It's hard to explain, just like wedding cake. It's got this mishmash of smells and flavor combos. I never had birthday cake before but it's turning out to be pretty promising because wedding cake is on my list of top five favorites.

8 days from now, I'll be chopping the last 2. If I had the space, I would have possibly chopped the birthday cake today because all the trichomes are cloudy but the hairs look like they're still growing. They haven't even curled. I wonder if this is one of those cultivars that doesn't exactly have all the hairs on it curl up and brown up. It's got 8 days to finish up, by then I'm sure it'll be extra ready!

I can't wait for all these new flavors. I'm drooling already!

Nice haul you have there. GH trio is the easiest way to go imo. Great results. I once had a harvest that smelled like lysol cleaner. If I had not known it was not somehow contaminated, would not have ever touched it. Those buds were very potent. Good work.

Fruity Freak ..by Hi-Elevation Genetics.. FINALLY!!! After 10 seeds, we finally have a mutant that is hopefully feminized. Fingers crossed. This has been the most difficult cultivar to start growing. Hopefully this is the one. I wanna get that time lapse.

It got up to 83F ( 27C) this week so I had to put in the air conditioner. I'm not going to lose my work. CHECK OUT THAT PURPLE PUNCH!!! Those flowers look awesome with all those orange hairs and all that frost everywhere 🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍 so beautiful. I wasn't about to let that work go to waste.
Only 2 more days until I chop the last tent. I resolved the light leaks as best as I could. Just waiting to get the next grow on

That's it! Part 3 of the Great Trim. Last 2 plants are chopped and put into the Cannatrol.

The 2x4 tent got 254g in total 😮😮. 106g for The Terpy, 96g for the Grape Caper and 68g for the Sour Orange. That's a PRETTY good haul from just 1 tent. The 2x3 is shaping up to be a very similar amount

The first 2 trays are the Purple Punch and the bottom 3 are the Birthday Cake. I also got a decent amount of sand from the trim process.

This was a very interesting experiment. The general Hydroponics gave me 100g from a 3 gallon pot. That.... THAT'S FREAKING IMPRESSIVE. There's no way in hell I'd be able to get that amount from a 3 gallon pot of organic fertilizer. Maybe a 7-10 gallon pot, sure, but a 3 gallon? Idk

The other bud is sealed away in the Grove bags while the current buds go through their 8 days cycle.

I'm almost done with the next video documenting the last month of Bloom and some of the chop. That will be up soon and I'll also be announcing the Giveaway item. There's only 54 subscribers on the channel so odds are good of winning. Slowly growing the channel and for the next grow, I'm gonna do 2 separate videos for the final match of the 3 way nutrient rumble and I wanna do a how to grow under $350. I'm having fun with it even though it's a lot of extra work doing all the time lapse and then the b-roll plus all the editing and voice over. I did want to learn the process though.

The next batch is READY to go. I'll have it started up by next week hopefully. Having an actual job takes up a chunk of time I used to have. Not only do I have to prep the containers and fertilize them, but I have to record the process which adds an extra level of work. The time lapse are great video diaries, ngl I love having them to look back at and see how they grew, not just my notes in my notebook. There's pros and cons, anyhow, this thread is all but done.

Only one post left after this. Final weight and smoke report. Everything else is going to be in a new thread. 🫡 Signing off on another successful run. Lots of delicious flavors. I've already tried the grape caper and I'm KEEPING THAT CLONE 🦄. I'll leave it at that for now.

Some good numbers there for the 2x4 tent. If I get 196g (195.5g technically), I'll have 1 pound from this grow. I've come so so so close but haven't gotten it yet. We got 258g so far. If not this grow, maybe the next grow. I'll have 6 plants. I better get over 1 pound 😅

Nice looking buds and yes, great yields.

General consensus is coco produces around 20% more than soil but you can go smaller on the pot with good frequency fertigation.

See the only thing I'm noticing with Coco is that the taste isn't as strong as I'm used to. Like the Terpy, in peat or had a much stronger taste than it does in Coco. Sure there's more yield but it's not as flavorful. I wonder if it's the same thing like with strawberries You could get big giant strawberries the size of your hands but they taste like water meanwhile the little tiny strawberries are the ones that are loaded with the most flavor.
