I'm wondering if the 4K MH is suitable for veg and flower or go traditional with 6k MH for veg and 2K HPS for flowering. First time grower I might add.

Well sir my 2 plants are showing white pistils and brown hairs. I'm living in Ireland and I've been growing my plants outdoor. I'm just worried about night time temperatures and how long does the flowering stage lasts. your help would be graciously accepted.

Hey Dan I just got a BlueLab Quantum PAR meter ordered. I am reading through many of your writings regarding sources and trying to understand as much as I can regarding the subject.

Do you think I need to measure the output of my lighting system using the many different measurement techniques or is just a good PAR meter enough to give me a good idea my light sources photon output.

i use 2 ceramic metal halide lamps each at 315 w, and one T5 fluorescent which claims 40 lumens.
I am introducing two ultra violet fluorescent t5 for late bloom.

If the PAR meter can only read between 400 and 700 nm is the inability to not see just below 400 and up above the 700 nm range anything to be concerned about?

Wanted to write and say Thank You for even coming back to an old post to update me on the correct article to read in regards to lighting, I keep reading everyday on cannabis, and not forum, but rather articles all the time... I want to learn everything I can to one day be one of the best growers and really know my stuff from the smallest things upwards.
